The divide between Freeper's in the Trump vs. Cruz battle is more heated than I recall any other divide of Freerepublic. Just about every thread immediately devolves to a nasty fight that carries from one thread to another.
I think we need to be careful with each other because both camps need each other after the primary. Can we just agree to disagree and move on? We have more in common with each other than not.
Short answer no. The Cruz haters will leave eventually.Just like the Muslim invasion of Europe. FR is still FR. Donate and let’s keep it going.
I don’t know what to call this divide. I’m not sold on either one but Hil and Bern are out of the question. I’ll take solace in that.

Great post. Many of us feel the same way. It’s more painful to watch Freepers get played against each other by establishment and leftist trolls than it is to see Cruz and Trump fall for the same nonsense.
I read but don’t post on the counterposing political threads because I found them to be 95% intestinal gas. I think you’re right in that the insanity has caused a rift but after the election the losing side will slink off or be battered to death by the “winning” side and succumb to the ban-hammer.
Throughout all of this FreeRepublic loses.

This is much worse and much deeper than any election before. It’s very bad and there are around fifty Freepers that, on both sides, that are completely at war with fellow Freepers.
Trumpers want Cruz supporters to just roll over because of “POLLLLLS” and his supposed invincibility.
This is what will happen: Trump may “win” but his margins get lower and lower and the delegates get almost evenly distributed. When the winner-takes-all States come along, Trump’s supposed invincibility will have worn thin and conservatives will have to decide whether to support the fraud or to support the true conservative still in the race and still viable.
With Cruz, there is no compromise. Trump comes with uncertainty and is openly for Planned Parenthood and Universal Healthcare.
If all else fails, there’s always the Sandbox threads.

Well, such is the nature of primary politics. For me, sorry but a vote for Trump for me would be to vote against my conscious and truth. Should Trump win he will very likely loose, to whom ever the dems put up, likely Biden, as Bernie is just to far for the dem party bosses to go! For me I will either blank it or vote 3rd party weighing the options.
I simple can’t vote for a man who’s favorite words are, Yuuage, pussy, lair, nasty, stupid, looser, winner, and of course ‘Two Corinthians’.
Heck -- I can't be too serious about anything when I'm posting behind a screen name. LOL.
