I don't know about you but I think Apple is a private company not subject to court dictat. Trump is revealing his inner fascist here.

Spare me. Apple to me is taking this too far. The FBI is looking for help with a specific phone tied to a specific crime. Last I checked, that was consistent with the Constitution which requires probable cause for a search warrant. I think there is more than such here.

Yep, if Apple wants to protect the Muzzies, that’s their business.

The phone was given to the person by the County....it isn’t his/her personal cell phone...

I don’t agree with Trump on this issue, because its another way to for the government to get into our private lives, but on the other hand, it was given to a ‘terrorist organization’ by the County and we should know what’s on it...

So there we are...do we, and hope the government will stop at that or do we not and don’t know who the rest of the ‘terrorist cell’ is?

The feds want into the phone? What are they looking for?

Hey!

Remember the guy who was ordered to delete the records of terrorists he was finding on the web (because it violated their social media safe space?)? Let’s recover those records! He had found the chick’s group. And probably a lot more.

Restart his type of investigation. Oops that means Profiling.

This ‘crisis’ is just an excuse to get into everyone’s phone.

Apple is siding with the muslim terrorist, instead of helping the country find out who he was in contact with and who could still be here ready for more murder.

If Apple built the damn thing they know how to open it up. It would be stupid not to realize Apple is lying. How dumb do they think we are.

Trump is right. They already have the code but as good communists liberals Apple is, they would rather have dead Americans that not.

Trump for President.

Trump’s point is that Apple can hack this one phone without giving the government a backdoor to ALL apple phones.

Trump doesn’t even understand that Apple can’t help the government hack into that phone even if they wanted to. So much for the “smartest man in the room”, LOL!

“Donald Trump bashed the tech company Apple today for refusing to help investigators access the iPhone of a San Bernardino attacker.”

Fail.

You proposed temporarily banning mohammedans from entry, Mr. Trump, which I would disagree with to the extent of amending that proposal to a permanent ban. A suicidal immigration policy that insists on spying on citizens as the only means to keep us safe, rather than keeping the throat cutters who are causing the terrorist risk out of the country, is a nonstarter.

I'm no legal techie but why doesn't the FBI just ask Apple to record what's on the phone and give the info to the FBI? Apple could then maintain the secrecy of their encryption codes.

The FBI surely has a warrant and are asking for assistance from the manufacturer. How is this different than any other criminal case?

No, the government has gotten a lawful warrant in this case to search the property of a “suspected” criminal. The problem is, that Apple appears, according to the Tech Blogs, to have made an unbreakable system.

Apple is now a multi-trans-national corporation now. They don't answer to any one country anymore, like so many other formerly US based corporations.

With that being said, they should be charged with aiding and abetting known international terrorists, and ALL of their US employees and corporate officers and financiers be held criminally liable.

Same goes for any company that does business in the US, and refuses to cooperate with the feds when it comes to national security.

Who they think they are Mr. Trump, is a law abiding business that is being compelled to act under threat by a government that is, in theory at least, supposed to protect their individual liberties.
