Breitbart ^ | 11 Feb 2016 | Michelle Fields

TV host Glenn Beck attacked Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump Thursday, saying "too many people are looking at Trump and believing that man has ever opened a Bible that's the biggest crock of bullcrap I've ever heard."

So what?

We get it! This loony bin on legs is tied to Cruz’s hip, and now you have to make excuses for every dumb thing he says, but dont think he has a blank check to shoot off his mouth and no one has the right to respond.

Glenn Beck is certifiably insane. I hope he gets some help soon. That being said his opinion is suspect be default.

Hey dummy. What do you think of obammy's Christian faith? Yeah, I thought so.

I doubt someone as dumb as you is even capable of having a thought, at least a remotely intelligent one. Beck many times talked about Obama's so-called "religion", communist-concocted "Black Liberation Theology". He knows more about it than most of you Trump supporting dopes can ever possibly know.

Frankly, I think the Mormon religion here is irrelevant - one or two of the comments here are the kind of vehemence that I solely reserve for Islam.

I am for Trump, and I very much like Cruz. I’ll be satisfied with either as long as Rubio and Bush are crushed and taken out. I think we NEED Trump at least and until Bush and Rubio are out of the picture. In that respect, I’ll let Ted and Donald work out their own problems with each other.

As far as Glenn Beck goes, I can only relate this. I make it a point to call my daughter every Monday morning and have her put me on the speakerphone to my three girls (grand daughters) - right before they go out to the school bus. I say, “Be excellent to one another, and make GOOD choices!” and at the end of the week I speak with each one and ask them if they did.

To my mind, Ted hooking up with Glenn is a ‘bad choice’ indeed. But, Donald has made one or two ‘bad choices’ in my opinion, too. And to concentrate on the foibles and histories of people that support either and use that as a battering ram to demean the candidate and people and/or entire religions is not a worthy pastime. It diverts us from the perspective of defeating our collective enemies and serves only to foment distrust and dislike amongst ourselves. That’s the “be excellent to one another” part of my hope for my grand daughters.

Not everything, but Trump being a sincere Christian is laughable, given how all over the place he's been on his positions and beliefs over the years. Up until around age 60, he actually supported gays in the military and partial birth abortion!

Here's Trump giving his support to the traitor-in-chief on his worldwide apology tour...

TRUMP [on the Larry King Show (April 15, 2009), referring to the then newly elected communist president (Obama)]: "Well, I really like him. I think that he's working very hard. He's trying to rebuild our reputation throughout the world. I mean, we really have lost a lot of reputation in the world. The previous administration [GW Bush] was a total disaster, a total catastrophe."

(Voice Over: That was Donald Trump a little over two years ago, endorsing [Marxist] Bill de Blasio for New York Mayor)

Donald Trump: "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor."

(Voice Over: De Blasio ran on class warfare, sanctuary cities and ending stop and frisk. De Blasio's sided with looters and cop killers against the police, with teachers unions against schoolchildren and with PC liberals to let the homeless run wild on city streets)

In continuing his "New York values" line of attack, Ted Cruz brought up an interview Donald Trump gave years ago in which he himself emphasized his New York background as being important to his political philosophy. And now we have that interview.

Cruz's campaign posted the video earlier today of Trump with Tim Russert on Meet the Press in 1999.

Russert asked Trump about gay marriage. Trump didn't want to comment on it, but said he has no problem with gays in the military.

He explained, "I've lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, okay? So my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa."

When Russert asked Trump about abortion, he said he's "pro-choice in every respect" and again cited his New York background, which he said has a "different attitude" from most of the country.

“Glenn Beck was one of a very rare few in a prominent media position to ever get into the ins and outs of the communist movement, past and present. He named names and connected the dots.”

Glen Beck did do that. He did a good job of summarizing the information and making it easy to follow.

The Front Page Magazine in its Discover the Networks did a very good job identifying the leftist networks. PJ O'Rourke in his book The New Enemies List also identified and exposed many leftists. Others have also done a good job documenting the Communist networks in the U.S.

I was not referring to Glen Becks work on his TV show. I was referring to his recent statement about Trump. I don't think I have done anything to mischaracterize Beck's statement.

I asked FReepers for their opinion and if they thought it would make a difference in the race for the nomination.

I don't think anyone should have a problem with that.

What kind of Christian admits publicly that he has never asked God for forgiveness? And that he doesn’t really know of anything for which he needs forgiveness?

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Typical Trump thread, ignore the content, insult the messenger and the opposition. Victor is judged to be the most abusive poster.

All crass, no class, hail to the king...

I miss that Glenn Beck. The one who exposed the evil before he became assimilated by it.

Glenn’s isn’t running for office... So why are you attacking the messenger?

If we look at some of the comments that Trump has made in the last month one most conclude the Beck is correct.

Specifics recent quotes from Trump that a practicing follower of Christ would not say...

“two Corinthians” Not second Corinthians.

And “eye for an eye”

“Typical Trump thread, ignore the content, insult the messenger and the opposition.”

That is a completely dishonest statement.

I did not say anything that “insulted” Glenn Beck. I did not mischaracterize his statement.

I asked Freepers for their opinions and asked if it would make a difference in the presidential race.

I don't see how anyone can have a problem with that.

My opinion about ‘Beck’ was formhttp://www.freerepublic.com/perl/post#helped long before he ever endorsed and hooked up with Ted. You can go back and check - LONG before Trump or Cruz began their campaigns.

I used to watch his TV show and then listened to his radio program after he threw away his gig at Fox. He is clearly flawed and unbalanced - you only needed to listen to his giggle fests with his ‘crew’ on the radio show. His revelations and big announcements (next Tuesday or whenever) His show from Israel....whatever. A hyping showman with an unbalanced mind who made his living hawking gold to fools that believe it’ll go to $3000 an ounce oh so soon.

As far as discussion of ‘quotes’ about what someone says regarding religion, I leave that to the religion thread because I’m certainly not worthy and piously pompous enough to go quoting scripture to him or anyone else.

Well stated and all very true, but my point was that no in such a high media position, with a popular national TV show on a major network, before or since, ever came close to doing the sorts of things he did. It was incredible how he pulled the curtain aside on all of these slime ball lefties and commies and outed them, their agenda, and their tactics, on a daily basis for MILLIONS to see. Most people hadn't the foggiest clue about any of that stuff. Many still don't, even here on FR, as evidenced by numerous comments we see posted here.
