You know you have sunk to a new low when you have to do a toenail fungus commercial.
Then we learned about spinal injuries and the importance of immobilizing certain other types of injuries.
Basically you’re complaining that team doctors are smarter and do stuff that helps keep injuries from turning into career enders.
There’s a lot of non-calls going both ways. Pass interference has apparently been removed from the book.
I don’t usually mind “let them play”, but you gave to call the obvious ones on both sides.

I really dislike “let them play”. I think if you wouldn’t call it in the SB get it out of the book. And really it just encourages sloppy play, once you establish you’re not calling that the players start doing it all the time.
Denver is the only team to have won a super bowl without scoring an offensive TD.
Unless the Panthers pull something off, Peyton and company could very well go out a winner.

Not really. You pointed it out above why. It comes down to the big $$$ for the NFL.

And the machismo was fun, all the way until great players had their careers shortened. A lot of it is just everybody being smarter. If you saw how many of the MVPs from the 70s could barely walk in the parade they started the game with you can see why these are good steps.
Carolina is going down. Time is running out. Denver is playing field position because the Panther can’t score enough.

That Denver defense. I joke way back around week 3 or 4 Denver might have the formula to repeat the 2000 Ravens run, amazing D, OK running, mediocre QB. Who knew was so precient. I’m gonna go vote Miller for MVP.
