Prior to this primary, I've never seen or partaken in, the vitriolic discussions Ive seen on FreeRepublic before now. Particularly when we all have held the same goal for so long.
But I am now guilty, as others are...
I’m a pretty obedient cat most of the time. :)
There is no conservative patriot running other than Trump. he’s not lily white for some of you, but he is not a foreigner.
I’ve had this same conversation with several Republican friends in the past few weeks. This is so reminiscent of the election of Jesse Ventura. The only saving grace there was we were dealing with what to do with a rather large surplus and the DFL came in a distant third. I particularly enjoyed the splitting of the surplus three ways. 1/3 tax cut for the Repuplicans, 1/3 new spending for the DFL, and 1/3 cut in fees and licenses for Jesse.
Unfortunately the United States is not plagued by a merely tiresome surplus of funds and we have much more dangerous enemies than a few Wisconsin Badgers, and Chicago Bears.
We survived Jesse, it was painful and embarrassing, but we survived. I’m not confident we will survive Obama followed by Trump or Clinton.
I actually think it’s all over with. We just need to find a fat lady to sing.
We can try a Trump or a Cruz, I say Cruz because of his knowledge of the constitution, but Trump for his brash non PC attitude, but in the end, we have reached the end.
Hell, we might not even find a good fat lady .....

Me too. Let us each vote for our own guy and then when the time comes support the nominee be it Trump or Cruz.

I cannot and will note vote vote for an unqualified, non NBC Canadian for President.

Your statement about conscience is very important.
People decide these things on many levels, and ‘intellect’ is, I believe, one of a lower order than gut-feeling and *conscience*.
We all have a lot of different ways of ‘knowing’. We should stop fighting, and leave our confreres to their own knowings.

He is a perfect example of why the Framers excluded “citizens” who were not “natural born citizens” from the presidency.
