Ted Cruz "Unsubscribe" Not Working on Campaign Donation Solicitations
opinion | 28 January 2016 | ShivaFan

Posted on 01/28/2016 8:55:59 AM PST by ShivaFan

In the first weeks of the 2016 campaign, I made nice donations to Rand Paul, Trump, and Cruz campaigns. I have never been solicited for donations from the Trump campaign, I have made my donations to Trump 2016 from the campaign's webpage. I also signed up later for the emails that announce Trump's campaign appearance stops, these have not solicitated for donations.

Both the Paul and Cruz campaigns would send me regular emails solicitating donations, often they have been of the "emergency" tone. Early on I continued donations through these emails, about four times more to Paul and twice more times to Cruz. My follow up donations to Trump were only by way of his webpage, I never received emails directly solicitating money.

My final decision was to vote Trump.

The Cruz solicitations by email became annoying in nature, especially the tone of them and I was appauled by the conspiracy theory nature of some of the Cruz supporters and their hatred of the majority of the Republican base, some of which was of the fringe element that was at times schizophrenic even from some or something from a bad rerun of the Munsters, as lame and as off issue as Megyn Kelly's first "question" (which was really a statement and not a question, and designed to dislodge the Trump campaign early on and which amounted to the exact tactics of the Hillary campaign) at the opening of the first Republican debate.

So a while back, I decided I no long wanted to receive these solicitations for campaign donations from the Cruz campaign since the Cruz campaign felt like the Crude campaign.

Three times now I selected the "unsubscribe" option at the bottom of the email, as well as the "unsubscribe via email" option.

The solicitations from the Cruz campaign continued anyway. And they continued, and continued. I just got another, so now I am complaining publically. This one said I was added to the email list. I am sick of this. Again I just selected unsubscribe.

I am not unsubscribing to the Paul campaign, he may have some things to say about the annoying nature of Cruzism and crude demeanor. I really have come to dislike this, and I want his relentless solicitations for money to stop.

If Cruz cannot manage these solicitations in a responsible, unannoying way, how can he manage a nation in a responsible and unannoying way? What kind of annoying campaign is he running? In my opinion, his annoying solicitations for money has me concerned if this annoying attitude will demand and continue hounding money from the American people in general if he would ever become President.

I have now seen enough debates, that's enough and I think we have had enough by now and need to move onto a more 21st Century theme of townhalls and the internet events as far as the primary cycle and the base doesn't need another half-dozen debates to make up their minds. Enough is enough, it is really all about money for the cable channels at this juncture who profit off the popularity of Trump and other than that serve no purpose, especially considering the unprofessional self-serving moderation. My mind is made up, and please, quit ringing my doorbell Cruz campaign, you are annoying.

Ask them for his Canadian address. That should stop it.

I’ve not donated to anyone and I still get Cruz’s email solicitations. Apparently, he needs money. I simply delete them without reading them. How hard is that?

I give political candidates a temporary expendable email alias. When the election is over, the alias will be deleted. In the last election, the number of spams from candidates all over the country slowly expanded as they shared my email address with one another. This process fed on itself and eventually turned into an avalance. When the deluge got to several per day, some from the same candidate, I just turned off the email address.

I think I know someone that gave him money and ‘owns’ him. I’ll see what they can do.

>>”Trump does not solicit contributions, but he does accept and appreciate them!”

And uses them for most of the funding of his “self-funded” campaign.

BTW....Cruz’s phony Christianity isn’t working on thinking people.

Support among white evangelical voters Trump UP/Cruz down

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-maintain-national-leads-poll-n504131

Trump 37% (+5)
Cruz 20% (-9)

These results are according to the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking poll conducted online from January 18, 2016 through January 24, 2016 among a national sample of 9,690 adults aged 18 and over, including 8,215 who say they are registered to vote.

Don’t complain like the leftists do. Ignore them. It’s called a delete button for a reason.

I should have guessed this was an anti Cruz post any way. I wish all of you would have this much hate for Hillary or Bernie. But noooooooo, gotta take out our own party first.

Of course. The point is that it’s not a self-funded campaign as he continues to claim.

Yes it is self funded...because we willingly give to Trump doesn’t change that! THE POINT is he takes NO special interest BRIBES like the rest do.

I see. When Trump says “self-funded” he means other selfs.

Sorry, nope. I don’t think anyone really believes that’s the meaning of self-funded.

I just got another one just five minutes ago. No matter how many time I select “unsubscribe”, they just keep on coming. Can I file a law suit? Is there a “no email list” for Cruz campaign solicitations, sort of like the “no call list”? Actually, the NCL stopped working as soon as Obama took over, it has never been worse all the calls. So even a “no email me Cruz” list won’t either because the government is too busy figuring out who to sic the IRS on then doing something about no call list. In fact, probably 90% of all the no calls calling me now are the RNC and Cruz.

This email that just came in says:

ted@tedcruz.org

“Ted Cruz Personal Email – May Include Privileged Communication.

(name), you’re my last resort.

I’ve got less than 36 hours to raise $126,000 or risk letting you and all of the dedicated volunteers in Iowa down.

The latest polling shows that Donald’s attacks against me are swaying voters...

DON’T GIVE UP: I can donate $100 (link)

If I can’t count on you, one of my closest supporters, then I could be in serious trouble...”

Please stop. Stop it. Can I file a law suit?

you know, I've never seen an email program that doesn't have a "block" function.
USE IT.

So, it's ShivaFan's fault that Cruz continues to pollute his mailbox. Got it.
