On CBS, Mrs. Clinton continued to knock Mr. Sanders for a past Senate vote to give gun manufacturers immunity from prosecution when a gun is used in a crime. She is seeking to highlight one of the few areas where she is to Mr. Sanders's left on an issue.
"It's the only industry in our country where we have given that kind of carte blanche to do whatever you want to do with no fear of legal consequences," Mrs. Clinton said.
She added, "And he often says, well, look, I'm from Vermont and it's different. It's not like being in New York City." She faulted him for "excuses" on the issue, saying, "It's a difference that Democratic voters in our primary can take into account."

She's been sensitive to the issue since she was under fire in Yugoslavia. /rimshot
Desperate enough to go for unpopular gun control? This was another stupid statement in today's environment unless it was a move to pander to Obama.
Gun control is unpopular with the American people, including a lot of Democrats. But it’s much more popular with the crowd that votes in the Democrat primaries.
She would then have to run against Trump or Cruz. Forget the middle and 20 % or more of dems. This was a losing statement and future fodder. I am beginning to think she is not about winning but staying out of jail.
Her partner, or whatever Bill is, could tell her how AlGore lost his shot at the office she seeks by running his mouth thusly.
Do Al and Mr. Bill still speak to each other. I note that Dan Quayle decided to endorse Jebbie: he didn’t want to acquire Barbara’s wrath.
“Do Al and Mr. Bill still speak to each other”
Good question. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anything about them seeing each other. I imagine the Clintons would have some kind of interest in his exploits beings how they were complicit in raising money via the ChiComs by selling Nat’l secrets for Al’s Prez run.
Purely speculation on my part.
