Donald Trump has attacked Ted Cruz's eligibility to be President, after saying repeatedly that he saw no problem with it:
Donald Trump said in an interview that rival Ted Cruz's Canadian birthplace was a "very precarious" issue that could make the Texas senator vulnerable if he became the Republican presidential nominee.
"Republicans are going to have to ask themselves the question: 'Do we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?' That'd be a big problem," Trump said when asked about the topic. "It'd be a very precarious one for Republicans because heâd be running and the courts may take a long time to make decision. You donât want to be running and have that kind of thing over your head."
This represent Donald Trump's second change of position on the subject. Here's a quote from September of last year:
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has reversed his position on Ted Cruz's eligibility to run for president, now saying his Canadian birthplace shouldn't disqualify him.
"I hear it was checked out by every attorney and every which way and I understand Ted is in fine shape," Trump told ABC News just before speaking at a Capitol Hill rally blasting the Iran nuclear deal.
I think what's going on here is that Donald Trump is panicking. A great lover of polls, he has seen himself repeatedly falling to second place in Iowa, and now he has fallen to second place in California, behind Ted Cruz.
His behavior resembles Jeb Bush. When Jeb was falling in the polls, he tried saying anything he could to arrest his decline in popularity. Remember how he said "anchor babies" to try and mimic Donald Trump? Or when he oddly told a crowd that Donald Trump is a jerk? Trump seems to be at a loss for words at how to respond to Ted Cruz, contradicting his earlier positions to attack him. Trump has tried attacking Ted Cruz's faith, he has tried attacking Ted Cruz for fighting the GOP establishment, and he has tried to attack Cruz for supporting a border fence, even though Cruz supported one long before Trump did.
Trump's behavior shows that he will say or do anything to be elected President. He was pro-amnesty for illegal aliens, now he's against it. He criticized Bill Clinton's sexual assaults, but invited the alleged rapist to his wedding (because as a businessman, he liked to get along with everybody-even alleged rapists). He was against funding Planned Parenthood on August 3rd, but supported subsidizing Planned Parenthood on August 11th.
Chairman Mao had a hard base of supporters called "To Whateverists", who said
We will resolutely uphold whatever policy decisions Chairman Mao made, and unswervingly follow whatever instructions Chairman Mao gave
It didn't matter what the instructions were, as long as they came from Chairman Mao. Donald Trump has his own group of supporters in the same category, but if the polls keep going in the same direction, they are going to have a very bitter February and March.
No, Trump. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
I said that if an article is printed by American Thinker, (AT) that is always posted at the end of an article. The article I sent you the link on said that.
Yeah, falling. He’s at an 18 point lead in NH (that would be 4 points UP from previous poll); he’s at 4 points down in IA, (that would be 2 points UP from previous poll); and he’s at 41 nationally, that would be 3 points UP from previous poll
no.
Did American Thinker print this?
You deflected and didn't answer it.
General Mao ZeDonald ....
Dictatorship for our times
The Bible talks about false Christians a lot. The words & actions of Cruz & his supporters betray their true intentions. They’ve told. Shake the dust.
He writes several articles a week. No, this one was not republished at American Thinker, but the one I linked to you was. Duh.
Waiting lines to enter standing room only venues typify desperate men.
Stupid premise.
The lie just will not go away. Guess what? Nobody cares.
Well, Duh.
This click bait article by Ed Straker was only published at this bs site News Machete, right?
You can’t reason with Whateverists.
News Machete is a reputable conservative sight and the author on published in other conservative sites. Sorry you don’t like the content of the article, but that’s your problem.
Ain’t it the Truth! :)
Okaaay, whatever you say Ma’am.
Guess what? There’s a whole lot of us who will never be driven to vote for trump. So your point...back at ya.
He’s showing that he’s nothing but a dishonest sleazebag.
Since when is numbers moving up quickly towards 50% going down?
lol
The first sentence contains a little hyperbole but is not completely false.
Donald did say there was no problem with Ted’s eligibility... that it had been scrutinized every which way and was over.
As far as I know, he did not say that repeatedly but he may have.
As for the rest of the article, it may be overblown but it contains a lot of truth.
Donald has been a great boon to this election cycle. I will always appreciate that. Look how he’s gotten Bill’s gal problem talked about for one thing.
However, he is a massive egoist and Ted Cruz is doing well in polls in early primaries.
He did not hesitate to go postal on Ben Carson after saying how much he admired him.
Now, he’s going after Ted ... oh, I know ... he is just trying to help him but ...
