Good Morning Meg~
Love the poem.
I always remember Mary Ingalls from Little House on The Prairie, when I read Ralph Waldo Emerson...
She quoted him often on the shows with such delight.
I am grateful today.. the sun is shining, I’ve had a delicious bowl of oats and blueberries, and I can still walk! LOL
Have a good day.

It is for thy sake
That I seek the fields in spring,
Gathering green herbs,
While my garment's hanging sleeves
Are with falling snow beflecked.

Thanks, Trish. I don’t know why I’M thanking you. I had nothing to do with this. But, she makes me very proud ... not only the wonderful young lady she has become but her delight in sharing her talents.
She has made a few extra dollars drawing pictures for her classmates. She does portraits and greeting cards. She told me she only charges $1. for Mother’s Day cards because they are for mothers. :)

Have a Happy Tuesday, FRiends.
I'm grateful for our beautiful weather.
It is still cool but the sun is shining and the sky is a lovely blue.

SWOOSH
Up in the sky
Wish I could fly
Experiencing a day
Not in the hay

Cool!
One of the things I had to learn in songwriting was using words economically.
Looks like Emily gets it! :-)

FLOWERS
Flowers smell sweet
(Way better than feet)
Flowers fit in your palm
(Theyre loved by your mom)
Flowers are pretty
(Give them to aunt Netty)
Flowers are cool
(You can find them near the pool)
I love flowers
(they give you girl powers)

Speaking of Emilys sense of humor, here is another which I find pretty funny :-)
NEW YORK
In the night NY
Glows eerie glow
It is way
Brighter than fresh fallen snow
I waited a long time
For a gigantic tour bus
Which would take us
Around the city laid upon thus
The light worked like magic
For the city before thee
Had turned into Disneyland
It was full of fun and glee
And the lady behind me
Drained out the good
She said she got mugged
There in her childhood
Then ending the trip
We drove over Brooklyn Bridge
Its very good to sail
Over the ridge
