Skywriters target Trump in aerial Rose Parade protest

PASADENA, Calif. (Reuters) - Five planes flew over the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, on Friday writing messages in the sky that included "America is great! Trump is disgusting. Anybody but Trump, US," as onlookers craned their necks for a view.

It was not immediately clear who was behind the airborne protest, targeting Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, which coincided with the end of the New Year's Day event that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to Pasadena, north of Los Angeles.

A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. The billionaire businessman is seeking his party's nomination for the November presidential election.

Security on the ground for the parade had been tight, with some 700,000 spectators expected to throng the 5-1/2-mile (9-km) route of the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade, which is followed by the 102nd Rose Bowl college football game.

Some guy with binoculars looked up and said Hey those are P-51’s, so based on this expert opinion, I have thought they were P-51 planes. They are too high for naked eye ID.

Wait, anybody-butt-rump-us. So it's a bunch of queers looking for a party?

Anyone think that just maybe Trump had it done himself? He's a really savvy guy and has to know that he almost always gets a bump from attacks.

I’d pay to have them write biblical messages, such as homosexuality is a sin. Also, liberalism is a mental disorder. How about some insulting messages on the 0s or Hillary?

CBS News also published an article to complain about the stunt but said that the man behind it was a millionaire instead of a billionaire.
