In what's more evidence that Donald Trump is becoming completely unhinged, he is now stooping so low as to label Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz "a bit of a maniac":
"I donât think heâs qualified to be president⦠I donât think he has the right temperament. I donât think heâs got the right judgment⦠You look at the way heâs dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a â you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac. Youâre never going to get things done that way."
He added:
"Look, I built a phenomenal business. Iâm worth many, many billions of dollars. I have some of the greatest assets anywhere in the world. You canât walk into the Senate, and scream, and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get along with people. Heâll never get anything done. And thatâs the problem with Ted."
It's rather fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him "a loser" and worse. See how he smeared Dr. Ben Carson by calling him "pathological."
What's more, Trump's latest jabs at Cruz prove that he has no idea what real conservatives want. Cruz promised them to stand up for their values in Washington D.C., even if the establishment would hate him for it. That's exactly what he's done, and it's one of the main reasons that he's now so popular among Evangelicals, very conservative voters, and those who identify themselves with the Party.
If I was Cruz, I'd politely ask The Donald to attack me even more. After all, this will only end up helping, rather than hurting him.

do you mean more of the same DC “pretend fighting”?
Actually I’m an American First, born on American Soil...then my mother, born in Italy and father born in France
Today I am a Republican so I can vote for Trump....
What % of the current illegals do you think will come back after Trump expedites return of the “good ones?”
I posted weeks ago comments by Trump in Iowa saying he supports ethanol “big league.” That’s not a new position for him. Just one of those things that seems to go under the radar, like Trump coming out in favor of Obama opening relations with Cuba this summer.
Yep and the Obamacare type backroom deals where they sell out the people for pork.
Just because Cruz says that the border must be secure first, does not mean he’s for amnesty. He is right. If we don’t secure the border first, then deporting illegals will be useless as more will just sneak across. The border MUST be secured first. It would be like putting a horse into a barn, but not closing the door. The horse would just sneak outside again.
I believe that Cruz will understand how to deal with/react to Trump in the debate, without trying to blowhard against him, but also without mealy-mouthing. The main thing he’ll need to do is reach that happy medium between stating facts and figures and not coming across as a policy wonk which shuts off most people’s brains during these debates. He’ll need to appear serious but not remotely sour or buffoonish (I don’t think Cruz even has “buffoon” in him, despite the best efforts of the lapdog lackey media, which tries to make that buffoon Obama -though a dangerous one, through his hatred of America-look like a rocket scientist).
“Cruz simply told his donors why he thought he would win. He did not make a public attack on Trump. Trump is now going full liberal attack dog on Sen Cruz.”
1. Cruz said much more than he would win, which is to be expected. He questioned Trump’s and Carson’s judgment with handling the trigger. What Cruz said about Trump is probably more severe.
2. The fact that he said it in private means nothing after it was broadcast around the globe.
3. Trump responding in kind is NOT full liberal dog attack. Is he supposed to sit and take it with a smile. What makes you think he would?
4. You may think it was benign, but you can count on it being referenced early in the debate, and probably the first question Trump gets.
5. If someone badmouthed you in a private meeting and it went public, would you be as gracious as you think Trump should be?
Amen. I don’t want to unite with America-hating enemies, for example, radical Muslims (and their “moderate” apologists). I want to expose them then crush them.
How is the Corker bill relevant to Cruz when we know he opposes the Iran deal and will repeal it as President?
Cruz said the same thing about Trump the other day. So that’s that part of the story. I, or we, just don’t want them to say anything that will prevent a team from forming. We need both these guys
Cruz started this tone at the fund raiser. I searched it hoping it wasn’t true. He said trump didn’t have the temperament. You can’t say things like that and stay partners. That’s where it started.
“This is TRUMPâs way of talking. All he is basically saying is that CRUZâs approach WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL in accomplishing his policy objectives. Thatâs all.
And TRUMP is right.”
Libfree
Trump is losing me. First with the stupid ethanol comments, and then this over reaction to one fake poll from Iowa. Trump is leading there in every other poll but he’s going crazy on Cruz because the Marxist paper showed him behind.
Tweet that to him. The more the better. @realDonaldTrump
Also, send it to @DanScavino. He’s a senior advisor to Trump who seemed to be attacking Cruz right after the Cruz private tape was leaked. They need to hear from us because I suspect the GOPE has created dummy accounts to encourage a fight.
“Just because Cruz says that the border must be secure first, does not mean heâs for amnesty. “
Agreed! But when Cruz says he will NOT deport and that he NEVER meant to ‘undo the underlying’ terms of the gang of 8 amnesty and he wants LEGALIZE all aliens....
THAT is amnesty.
CRUZ: Expand legal immigrationâ¦double it! 500% increase on H1B Visas. LEGAL status for all illegalsâ¦HIS words, short and sweet, in the first minute!

“Killing that bill wouldâve been a heavy lift even for master negotiator Trump, right?”
That is completely beside the point. A man of principles, which is what Cruz is heralded as, is supposed to vote based on his principles, not on following the crowd.
Oh, and conservative nonsense is so much better. The liberals have spent 7 years trying to and mostly succeeding in defeating the conservatives.
By the time we spend 8 years getting even, we won’t have a country to worry about. That’s school yard politics, making sure we get even instead of trying to fix this country.
Vote for him, of course!
Graham told Trump to ‘go to Hell.’ To think that Trump isn’t as low or lower on the Senate enemies’ list as Cruz is silly.
Trump jumps the shark. I thought it would take longer.
