Forget being transgender like Caitlyn Jenner or transracial like Rachel Dolezal, there’s a new “trans†frontier: people who are transage.
In an interview with the gay news site The Daily Xtra, Stefonknee (formerly Paul) Wolscht details his struggles with being a male-to-female transgender person.
The Daily Xtra video, however, glosses over a tiny bit of important information about Wolscht: he thinks he is actually a six year-old girl—not just a woman, but a six year-old girl—stuck in the body of a 50-something man.
At age 46, Wolscht deserted his wife and his seven children to live his “true†life.
“There’s days I forget my past,†Wolscht says. “I can actually go a week without even thinking about what was before.â€
“I can’t deny I was married. I can’t deny I have children,†Wolscht admits. “But I’ve moved forward now and I’ve gone back to being a child. I don’t want to be an adult right now and I just live my life like I couldn’t when I was in school.â€
Wolscht is not speaking in an abstract sense. He actually wants to be a child.
He explains, “Well, I have a mummy and a daddy. [An] adopted mummy and daddy who are totally comfortable with me being a little girl. And their children, and their grandchildren, are totally supportive. In fact, her youngest granddaughter… When I was eight. A year ago, I was eight, and she was seven. And she said to me, ‘I want you to be the little sister, so I’ll be nine.’ I said, ‘Well, I don’t mind going to six.' So I’ve been six ever since.â€
“We have a great time. We color, we do kids stuff. It’s called play therapy. No medication, no suicide thoughts. And I just get to play,†Wolscht says.
For some people, however, playtime eventually ends.
Wolscht was featured in a full-length documentary by the Transgender Project.

Before coming out as her true authentic pediatric female self, Stefonknee ("Steph on knee", geddit?) was a 53 year old man named Paul who was living his inauthentic life as the married father of seven children. According to him, he looked after the kids while his wife worked as the principal of an elementary school. He was also self-employed as an auto mechanic who worked on cars in a garage on the family property "mainly overnight" after his wife got home.
In 2009 he was charged with 14 criminal offenses of assault, uttering threats, criminal harassment, and criminal mischief. His wife and their two oldest children- then in their late teens- testified against him. He was found guilty of assault and uttering threats. The court also issued a two-year restraining order against him that applied to his wife and all seven of his children. He and his wife divorced.
He moved to Toronto on parole and became a "transgender activist". He was employed, apparently at The 519 Community Center as a "trans consultant" until, according to transactivist Justin Travis "Julienne" Goins now Patience "patienceinbee" Newbury he was terminated:"[-]patienceinbee 0 points 10 months ago She has demonstrated herself as deeply narcissistic and self-absorbed, putting her own struggles as a white trans woman ahead of the struggles of trans women of colour in Ontario, of putting her own attempts at suicide in front of murdered black and brown trans women at TDoR gatherings. This would otherwise seem like a quibbling over her character. When she was employed, however, as a trans consultant for a queer-focussed community centre and assigned to work alongside a few trans women of colour, she had a tendency to hijack client/community presentations and redirect these back toward herself (implying that she was the most oppressed trans person there was). Eventually, this cost Stefonknee her job."
He should get to be a kindergartner again since he “identifies” as a 6 year old, right?
