Are you even thinking about oppression while you eat that taco? According to Social Justice Internet, itâs totally fine to enjoy foods from other cultures â as long as you donât call the food âauthentic,â act like itâs out of the ordinary, or forget to get upset about Islamophobia every time you eat hummus.

Ask the politically correct?? Lol.
Or using electricity, driving cars, flying in airplanes, watching television, using cell phones, using regular phones ....
But here's something that Rachel MUST always think about, whenever she has a dish that contains paprika...she must ALWAYS remember the victims of hideous Muslim terrorism, oppression, and deaths of the Hungarians, and the anti-Christian/Christion & Jewishphopia that the Muslims, of the Ottoman Empire, brought down on that nation and here people. I DEMAND SOCIAL JUSTICE TOO !
[ Roast beef, potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding are awesome! But you can only chew on one side of your mouth. ]
The other half of me is polish and the only polish restaurant I know of is 100 miles away I am either gonna starve or go insane.
See post #39 and link to entire article in post #25.
Apparently so and since she is *cough* “Taiwanese-American”, she needs to stop using a Jewish first name !
Part of me is still wary of Yoga as a form of worship/spirtualness of pagan gods. But - I suppose if you replace the pagan thought with Psalms.....
Oh - and it was being led by a white woman!!! (Just kidding, I'm not THAT old fashioned.)
Why should I think about oppression? Why not art, music, architecture, or advancements that a culture has contributed, why always the oppression with these nuts?
Should I think about how unfair the treaty of Versailles was to the Germans every time I eat a Frankfurter? If I use Dijon mustard with my polish dog must I contemplate the poverty in France proceeding their revolution and the Nazi invasion of Poland? If I add Chili should I think about the poverty of Mexico, the killing of the Aztecs or the Indians of Chili and if I wash it down with a beer should I think hard about the union workers in Ireland who slaved to brew my drink or the Belgian monks who forsook marriage to make the finest Trappist ale on earth. If I have Buffalo wings do I think about buffalo massacres, chicken massacres or how the Sabers have been oppressing the city with inferior hockey. I think it would just be easier to eat my spotted owl stew with deep fried bald eagle.
My wife is also from Taiwan and she disagrees. What does that make her?
Just tossed the lefse.
Yoga and Psalms!? Where is the SWAT team!?
Actually, that sounds like a neat combo. :)
Nonsense...roats beef is English, so are steaks, chops, roast chicken, duck, and goose. They invented the “sandwich”, Welsh rarebit, and a whole host of many delicious dishes.
Obviously you are suppressing and oppressing her and she’s too scared to tell the truth in this highly patriarchal tyranny. She needs to be rescued, deprogrammed, and re-educated so she can find her voice and be empowered. /s
What about ‘Southern food’? Boy, will that cause confusion.
Anything a white person says or does is racist.
What if I make it myself?
Is it OK for me to eat homemade saurkraut? I am of Germanic descent.
This does present a problem. Might have to airlift some Polish food to you.
Very good!
I enjoyed the heck out of some authentic Mexican food today! Take that, leftist racists!
