Are you even thinking about oppression while you eat that taco? According to Social Justice Internet, itâs totally fine to enjoy foods from other cultures â as long as you donât call the food âauthentic,â act like itâs out of the ordinary, or forget to get upset about Islamophobia every time you eat hummus.

You mean all of those times back in the 50s when we all had too much to drink and headed to Chinatown at 3:00 AM we should have been thinking about the Opium Wars. ???????
.
Corn beef and cabbage are authentic AMERICAN food actually. ;)
You go on a “hunger strike”, for all of the time you are in England?
If the waitstaff, cooks and cashiers are speaking Spanish, if they look Mexican, if THEY call the food authentic Mexican, then why in the world can’t I call it “authentic.”
How stupid.
Pizza, super burritos, piroshki, soul food, chicken pot pie, reubens, wienerschnitzel, lumpia, chow mein and hummus regularly make up weekly menus in our home.
We hate the whole world!
No. I like Zaika best. I also like Dishoom during the day and Chutney Mary is a bit long in the tooth but good for entertaining. I’ve been to an *ok* but not great, and very overpriced steakhouse, near Jermyn Street, but I can’t remember the name.
I followed the link from the National Review page.
The source material is a stupid article on a stupid site whose stupid founders should have stupid doctors perform stupid neurosurgery on their stupid brains.
The Weiner Spokesbabe...she is offending Huma and Anthony, I would think. She should do penance by eating only warm water and gruel with insect parts for the next 60 days (acceptable white person sustenance).
If you're ever in Chicago, I recommend "Staropolska" restaurant.
Does that mean I can’t order “Four Fried Chickens and a Coke”?
A steakhouse “near” Jermyn Street?
Sorry that’s not much of a hint. LOL
LOL !
I can’t remember the name. It specialized in game and steaks. I remember it was very expensive, white tablecloth, and supposed to be the best in the area. Sorry.
If you smile, talk (about anything other than the people suffering) or do anything for yourself then you're being totally insensitive to millions of people.
Any white person who steps out into the sunlight is completely offending so many people, and should be shamed until he learns how offensive his behavior is.
Lots of restaurants, in that area, are “expensive”; in other areas as well. But how was the food?
Average, and expensive. Overcooked and flavorless.
Oh no!
Does that mean Dueling Banjos is the only music I’m allowed to hear anymore?
After going on two three week vacations in Mexico in the late ‘60s all I can say is Mexico can keep its authentic cuisine and I’ll stick with the styles developed in New Mexico, Southern CA and Texas.
We tried every style we could find from the TX border to well south of Mexico City and it was all so bland it would make oatmeal with cinnamon seem like a wild treat.
