What Trump isn't Saying (vanity)
(none)

Many people here, and probably most people in the country cannot, for the life of them, understand why Trump is doing so well in the Republican Primary race, considering some of the things that Trump has said and done, such as his attack on Megan Kelly, his telling Republicans to "get over it" regarding gay marriage (I'm paraphrasing here, since I'm too lazy to look everything up), his crazy idea that Mexico will pay to have a wall built on our border, and many other things.

But perhaps people are looking in the wrong places. Perhaps we need to look at what Trump HAS NOT SAID or done (at least in this campaign season), but which other leading Republicans say and do on a regular basis. That may help them quite a bit in understanding why Trump is so popular, and will not go away. Here are a few things that Trump does not say or do:

1) Illegal immigration is "an act of love"
 2) People opposed to illegal immigration are "heartless"
 3) Islam is a "religion of peace"
 4) Terrorist attacks by Muslims "do not represent Islam"
 5) People opposed to illegal immigration are "xenophobes"
 6) We need a wall "on the Canadian border"
 7) Anchor babies are "mainly from China"
 8) We need to "take in thousands of Syrian refugees"
 9) We need to "get into a shooting war with Russia"
 10) The Pyramids are really "grain silos"
 11) The Christian thing to do is "believe the Democrats on Global Warming"
 12) Trump gets with victims of Illegals, not Illegals themselves
 13) Trump does not surround himself with "Islamic Leaders" after terrorist events
 14) Trump does not blame poverty for Islamic terrorism, since that is not true
 15) Trump does not consider terrorists 'misguided'...they know exactly what they're doing
 16) Trump does not blame Israel for defending itself

(with Video) Trump: 'Hate the Concept' of Letting Migrants In, But 'You Have To'
Trump to CNN: 'I love the Muslims'
"I think it's terrible, and we have to act very strongly, But I will say, I watched Pam prior, and it looked like she's just taunting everybody. What is she doing drawing Muhammad? And it looks like she's actually taunting people and it's disgusting that it happened and everything else. But why are they doing drawing Muhammad? Isn't there something else they can draw?

Well, I just say, they can't do something else? They have to be in the middle of Texas doing something on Muhammad and insulting everybody? It's disgusting what happened, and we have to be very strong, but it looks to me like she's somebody who is just taunting them.

What is she doing, and why is she doing it? And, you know, I'm one that believes in free speech, probably more than she does. But what's the purpose of this? She's taunting them, she's probably, it's very risky for her, I don't know, maybe she likes risk. But what the hell is she doing, and what is the purpose of it?"

I enjoyed your creative approach to explaining Trump. The best line was, “I'm too lazy to look stuff up.” LOL!

    17) Kelo was a horrible decision by SCOTUS
 18) I fault Pam Geller. She was taunting Muslims
 19) Hillary Clinton is "very talented" and "terrific" and "I'm a little biased because I've known her for years"

What Trump isn't Saying 1) Liberty
 2) US Constitution

Agree on Geller, better to keep quiet there - I think he learned a lesson.
Kelo can’t hold a candle to immigration, the vast majority of the country (and most non-FR Republicans) have no idea what it is - no damage there. I think he did that because of his frustration with people holding out on his projects...even if that’s his problem, not theirs.
Trump has more than made up for his positive comments and donations to Hillary. He’s now hitter her harder than any other Republican.
