U.S. President Barack Obama characterized the terrorist acts in Paris last week as "an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share." But the terrorists and those whom they represent clearly do not share those values. As journalist Mark Steyn noted, these acts are "an attack on the West, on the civilization that built the modern world."
Yet Obama continues to obfuscate the specific nature of the attack, and in a manner consistent with his approach to Islamist terror in general. We have a hypothesis as to why.
Obama will still be a young man when he leaves the presidency. His multiple policy failures (which are failures by his own self-imposed yardsticks: Russia, Iran, Israel-Palestine, Syria) will not have diminished the capacious ego that he brought, and which brought him, to the White House.
What post-presidency career would Obama consider worthy of his future attention and efforts? Few jobs of Olympian prestige are available, and his self-admittedly vast self-esteem might diminish the list still further. Ambassador to Kenya? We think not. No, we agree with a number of other observers that Obama has his sights set on the office of United Nations Secretary-General.

I have no doubt whatever that he’ll become UN Secretary-General, a perch from which he can harass and upstage whomever follows him as President.
Security Council members cannot appoint their citizens to that office.

Obama is going to follow the Clinton model. Make millions of dollars for speeches to the faithful and play golf.
He will never shut up and we will never be rid of him.
He can harass President Cruz, but not upstage him.
Nor President Trump.
President Clinton is another story, but if she’s in the White House, it won’t matter, we’ll be toast anyway.
The personal skills of the Secretary-General and their staff are crucial to their function.
That leaves Obama out
If Obama is really feeling industrious then he will follow the Algore model. Make hundreds of millions of dollars selling the Global Warming scam to the faithful and play golf.
He’s hoping to be the Caliph...?
President Trump will tell him to pack up and leave the UN building in NY and to get our of our country...
He wants to be the next Pope. This way, he can absolve himself of all sin and get a right hand seat to the throne of God.
That could change.

Wouldn’t put that past.him either.
I agree .. I got that opinion when he kept going to the UN for answers to everything.
However, since the USA is a member of the Security Council, I do not believe he’s eligible to be head of UN.
Of course, rules do not seem to apply to Obama .. so maybe it’s not a sure thing.
I would like it better if Trump told the UN to pack up and leave NY.
