The Atlantic Coast Conference has suspended the officiating crew that worked the Miami-Duke game for two league games following what it called "a series of errors" on the final play.

Miami is my team and it was nice seeing a win after what’s happened this season. The reffing was terrible. I still can’t see the block in the back they tried to call.
Are they then going to change who won the game?
Not that I care but just wondering
The guy’s knee was clearly down.
Player with ball was down. Game over. Duke wins.
They couldn’t find that with nearly ten minutes of reviewing? Please.
I have no bone to pick with either team . . . just came here to say that instant replay was going to solve these problems. Oh well, advertisers have to advertise too.
Correction, the idiot in the review box couldn't see it, everyone else, including the League officials that suspended him and the rest of the crew for two games, could see it.
Donna Shalala’s team.
Apparently not. Entire game was officiated poorly - but to have four mistakes made, all in favor of one team, on the final play of the game that reverses the correct outcome? I've never seen that.
They missed several illegal blocks, and then reverse the one they did call....which was borderline I admit...but they reversed it on replay. Not allowed.
Hell, I'm not even sure they were looking at the knee down....they were so obsessed with the laterals being forward or backward (they were all legal). But it was just amateur hour. All conferences, and the NFL, etc, all circle the wagons around their officials, even when they screw up. But this was SUCH a major screw up, they were immediately suspended two game. I think they're through doing ACC games forever....personally.
Feel sorry for you if Miami is the best team you can find.
I was surprised to notice that Miami had dropped Nike in favor of Adidas.
Exactly! Miami’s AD was on the phone with Commish Swofford when the whole thing happened. The AD was filing a complaint because this crew was on Miami’s list of who can’t officiate their games. Every team is allowed to choose one officiating crew they don’t want. When the series of bad calls and then the lateral fiasco happened, the AD unloaded on Swofford.
I live in the Ohio Valley, but my heart is in Miami ; ) As an NCAA athlete I competed against Ohio State so I could never cheer for them. They are such jerks. Then I married a Miami fan and had three little Canes with him!
The blue guys appeared to be intentionally NOT trying to end this play. Suspicious!
One Duke guy tries to tackle? The rest look like they’re just playing tag.
Miami’s AD? Don’t you mean Duke’s AD?
I would bet Nike dropped Miami
Nope. Miami. The officiating crew screwed them a few years ago, so they were never supposed to officiate another Miami game. Then this.
