Apparently not. Entire game was officiated poorly - but to have four mistakes made, all in favor of one team, on the final play of the game that reverses the correct outcome? I've never seen that.
They missed several illegal blocks, and then reverse the one they did call....which was borderline I admit...but they reversed it on replay. Not allowed.
Hell, I'm not even sure they were looking at the knee down....they were so obsessed with the laterals being forward or backward (they were all legal). But it was just amateur hour. All conferences, and the NFL, etc, all circle the wagons around their officials, even when they screw up. But this was SUCH a major screw up, they were immediately suspended two game. I think they're through doing ACC games forever....personally.
Exactly! Miami’s AD was on the phone with Commish Swofford when the whole thing happened. The AD was filing a complaint because this crew was on Miami’s list of who can’t officiate their games. Every team is allowed to choose one officiating crew they don’t want. When the series of bad calls and then the lateral fiasco happened, the AD unloaded on Swofford.

UM made the point that if they are going to use videotape to review penalty calls, then they need to look at some called against them that sustained Duke’s TD drives.
