The Atlantic Coast Conference has suspended the officiating crew that worked the Miami-Duke game for two league games following what it called "a series of errors" on the final play.

Still I have never heard of a block in the back call being reversed.
Hope y’all will like Mark Richt for your coach next year.
So you’re the one fan that goes to their home games.
Haven’t heard that name yet from the donors that are keeping me in the loop.
Well he will be available at the end of the year.
Heh heh, I bet Randy Shannon doesn’t look too bad now.
I wish! We’re in the Ohio Valley and haven’t made it to a home game in a few years. We wanted to do Cinci and Pitt this year, but I’ve had some major health issues so those are off the table. We used to travel to their away games a lot, though. My aunt and uncle stayed the entire game last week. My uncle refuses to leave games early, regardless of the circumstances. He’s a big time, long time donor who still sits outside instead of in a fancy box. They were the only two in there section by the end.
Shannon was never a good fit because of his “I’ve been there and you haven’t” attitude. He liked to flash his ring and tell the players he knew what he was doing because of it. Don’t get me wrong, that does help, but it was a bit too much for the players. It reminds me that Margaret Thatcher quote about being a leader: If you have to tell somebody you’re the leader, you aren’t the leader.
See if you can guess why I am happy.....why a suspension? How about career counseling instead? I believe the term is “outplaced.”
Ok, just got off the phone. Art Briles is number one pick, Gary Patterson is number two.
I think that conversation will go something like this.
“So...when are you going to build that on-campus stadium and upgrade your facilities.”
“Uhhhh....”

The guyâs knee was clearly down.
...
Sure it was. He was also in the process of tossing the ball. Does college have a rule like the NFL where there has to be irrefutable evidence to overturn a call?
Yeah, that sticks in a lot of our craws. However, the status of being the coach that turns a once great team, now bad team, into a championship team is enticing.
Not only that, but since when does a penalty call get reversed upon review, other than a tipped ball negating pass interference?
Looking at the video it’s not so easy to tell, even with pausing. What would be the applicable rules?
Plenty of other schools offer that opportunity with better facilities.
Apparently not. Entire game was officiated poorly - but to have four mistakes made, all in favor of one team, on the final play of the game that reverses the correct outcome?
...
UM made the point that if they are going to use videotape to review penalty calls, then they need to look at some called against them that sustained Duke’s TD drives.
The article I read said they picked up the flag after a conference, which they are allowed to do. The head ref didn’t make that clear which is one reason they are suspending him.
Look at what UM has done for the last three coaches. Noone is going to want to go there. They should have kept Coker.
Judging by your FR handle and my confession, we’re both biased ; ) I’ll have you know one of my most favorite aunts (by marriage) who is also my husband’s godmother, is a die hard Gators fan. We root for them as long as we’re not playing them!
so are you saying they were making this up to Miami last night? What game was that a few years ago?
