Miami is my team and it was nice seeing a win after what’s happened this season. The reffing was terrible. I still can’t see the block in the back they tried to call.
Are they then going to change who won the game?
Not that I care but just wondering
Player with ball was down. Game over. Duke wins.
I have no bone to pick with either team . . . just came here to say that instant replay was going to solve these problems. Oh well, advertisers have to advertise too.
Donna Shalala’s team.
The blue guys appeared to be intentionally NOT trying to end this play. Suspicious!
One Duke guy tries to tackle? The rest look like they’re just playing tag.
See if you can guess why I am happy.....why a suspension? How about career counseling instead? I believe the term is “outplaced.”
One of my friends is an official on one of the ACC Crews. Each crew has the same men and are graded on efficiency and correct calls. My friend’s crew gets rewarded almost every year with a bowl job. Just as there is in any profession, there are major screw ups working. Unfortunately, he states that he’ll never get upgraded to the NFL because they only hire affirmative action and former NFL players to officiate.
With all the cameras and replays used these days for reviews, etc., one wonders how something so obvious could be allowed to change the outcome of the game. I noted the announcers for the pro games were commenting on not wanting to get down on the refs, but the cameras made many of their mistakes obvious. Seems like the solution is to either get rid of most of the cameras or review every “iffy” play to ensure they got it right and to treat it like any other review play to change the call as necessary.
