After nearly half a dozen Iowa polls have shown Trump in second place well behind Dr. Ben Carson, we're getting to see just how he handles pressure.

Nothing like a site pimp with an agenda!
Iowa is only important for people who need happy and confident donors to stay in the race.
“At least half the time the winner fizzles out afterwards.”
The purpose of our Iowa caucuses isn’t to pick a winner for the rest of the country; it’s just for the people who vote here in Iowa.
It is simply JUST PART of a sorting process nationwide.
People get WAY to excited about their perception that Iowa takes away everyone else’s choices. It doesn’t.
A good candidate will do well here; a bad candidate wont.
On one hand people disparage the Iowa caucuses saying “they don’t pick a winner there”. Then on the other hand they say it has too much influence!
Do you understand the letters FOS?
Didn’t one of those ‘Carson Leads’ polls have Cruz down to 4%? If you are pleased with Trump’s slippage, I trust you’re equally happy to see Cruz slide so low.
Btw, Trump’s tweets have been solidly upbeat, humorous and enthusiastic. IBD just sees what it wants to see.
[Full disclosure; I didn’t follow the link. Not into blog pumping.]
“On one hand people disparage the Iowa caucuses saying they dont pick a winner there. Then on the other hand they say it has too much influence!”
And that depends on whether you’re winning or loosing at the moment there.
My bet is that the farmers in Iowa are worried that Trump might cut into their subsidies and they’d have to actually grow something!
You said it's a cult, not me.
What an Ahole that guy is. You are supposed to ask people for their vote. Trump should have been doing it all along. His final sentence at every rally should be something on the order of “I’m asking for your vote to help me make America great again”.
It’d be nice if you came back and participated on the thread. Or maybe not.
Iowa is the first, though. Many are under the impression that it’s some sort of bellwether for the rest of the country, flawed as that logic is.
Exactly.
Et tu IBD?
He is not interested in anything but hits on his site.
Many pollsters tried to get paid by Trump and treated him poorly when they were not paid.
More like five stages of poll trickery IMO.
We don’t have a choice in what situation we are raised. Heidi and Ted Cruz have been members of the Baptist Church where they live all their married lives and that is the faith they are raising their two daughters in.
Iowa schmiowa.
LOL!
What a bunch of nonsense.
Keep drinking the Establishment Kool-Aid
“Many are under the impression that its some sort of bellwether for the rest of the country,”
It is to some extent. But influences outside of Iowa definitely have an effect on who will do well here. We are all one nation and have a lot more in common than differences.
Iowa like any state has different things that are important.
But most of the things that make a candidate viable anywhere else will be important here.
One big positive thing about smaller states is for lesser known, newer candidates.
They can come out and make a good case for who they are face to face; and get traction without a huge budget.
That would be very hard in a big state where everything is done through buying ads.
After weeks of crowing about positive poll results (even 24%-18% leads) meaning Trump was the CERTAIN nominee, this is amusing.
