Sorry didn’t mean to be condescending, mistook you for an AppleTroll like ‘Swordmaker’. They ask questions like that to start a big stink.

"Can’t we just talk about something less controversial, like religion or politics?"

It is religion.

You're very welcome, of course! I just -knew- this was gonna be a food fight, and the pies tend to be the first to get thrown; wouldn't want to miss that!

I note that the author was very careful early on to mention that the larger (15) MBP would pretty much smoke the SB ("...For Microsoft to say the Surface Book out performed the MacBook Pro 15 would be absurd...") so the comparison was not to ALL MBP's but just the same physical size model.

Hardly, and no offense taken. Besides running the Windows Ping List, I have no particular loyalties. I use everything. See the link to my FR profile that's in comment #34 above if you want details. :-)

However, the point of the article at the end was for $1500 you get that improved speed BECAUSE of the graphics included in the Surface Book.

I guess that’s just another way of saying Apple users are retards that can’t handle more than one mouse button at a time.

Trust you to be the one to attack the USERS instead of discussing the relative merits of the platforms, hardware, or both. . . YOU always seem to go for the throats. You've made my point about the attacks from you Apple Hate Brigade always making it personal despite your repeated protestations of innocence.

Before your reprehensible comment about "Apple users" being "retards" everyone else was discussing an OS or hardware and YOU had to make an insult to every Mac user in general. Great Job CodeToad. Really classy, Toad, really classy.

I would like to point out that in the 16 post previous to this, not a single poster insulted windows users. However, I would like to commend you on at least letting more than 10 posts go by before you started insulting Mac users.

As a longtime user of Windows products who was introduced eighteen months ago to iOS I can state one major benefit of iOS over Windows:
My blood pressure has come down ten points and my stress problem has halved.

Mac updates aren’t done unless the owner approves them. I’ve been using Apple computers since the late 90’s, and have never had any malware bytes installed on any of my Macs. Then again, I don’t use any Microsoft products or programs on my Macs.

Are you saying the Microsoft Surface Pro is faster than MacBook Pro ..?? Am I reading this correctly ..??

Actually, Surface Pro was one of the few computers I was looking at. And, I probably should have gone for it and taken Win10 ..??

Well, it’s too late now .. so I’ll have to wait for the Genie to drop the money off before I can buy it. LOL

NO, not Surface Pro, the tablet. This is about Surface Book, the new laptop. Whole different beast.

Really .. In my computer career, I’ve never had Malware, a virus, or adware.

I have Norton .. and I’ve always had it .. and I’ve never, ever had any of the stuff you say a Surface Pro will put on a computer .. and I’ve never had a blue screen.

Gee, I wonder where the term Blue Screen of Death came from?

Not sure what benchmarks they are using, but the one I use “GeekBench” shows that the MacBook 13” beats the Surface Book, and the MacBook Pro 15” smokes it by 2X. (And these are “older” (June 2012 release for the Pro) Apple products, due for a CPU update soon).

Surface Book: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/search?dir=desc&q=surface+book&sort=multicore_score

MacBook 13”: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/search?dir=desc&q=macbook+13%22&sort=multicore_score

MacBook Pro: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/search?dir=desc&q=macbook+pro&sort=multicore_score

Perhaps they meant the “MacBook Air 13””? If so, the Surface Book barely beats it: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/search?dir=desc&q=macbook+air&sort=multicore_score

And this is with a fresh install of Windows...in my experience after 2-3 years of use the Windows boxes will slow down substantially due to “creeping crud”.

Since I’ve never had a “Blue Screen of Death” .. why should I care that you can look it up.
