HOUSTON, Texas A new Fox News poll shows Cruz continues to move up in national surveys and has taken sole position of third place behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson. Cruz comes in at 10% in the Fox News poll, affirming results from this weeks CBS poll, which also had Cruz in third.
The rising poll numbers come after a successful fundraising quarter in which the campaign raised more than $12 million, followed by raising over $1 million in the first nine days of the fourth quarter — bringing the total raised for the campaign to $27.5 million. And Cruz has built an impressive nationwide organization totaling more than 500 leadership team members, including chairs in every county of the first four caucus and primary states.
Critics and pundits have begun noticing that Cruz has put together a top-notch organization relying on the fundamentals of successful campaigns.
National Review observed, Cruz has proved to be an ambitious and serious campaigner, devoted to doing the hard and unglamorous work required of presidential candidates.
Cruz will spend the next week campaigning in the early states of Iowa and New Hampshire continuing to argue that his record of consistent conservatism is what America needs to the keep the country free, prosperous, and secure.

Mr Rabbit meet the tortoise!
In politics, it matters not where one starts, only where one finishes. Why they’re called horse races.
24 .. Trump 23 .. Carson 10 .. Cruz 9 .. Rubio 8 .. Bush 5 .. Fiorina 5 .. Huckabee
Fiorina was being hailed after the last debate. Her soaring didn’t last too long.
Similar with Kasich after the first debate.
If Bush can’t turn his campaign around, he will be lucky to have a dead-cat bounce after he hits bottom.

Please, only one Sen. Yertle at a time, and that’s McConnell (RINO-KY).
Cruz. THE Free Republic candidate this year most logically. Should have solid support on FR. But not a few are mislead and distracted this season by a freaking, feeling-good carnival side show.
Carson has too many ‘mixed’ views on the issues.
Color each green and he looks perfect to the conservatives.
Color each red and he looks like he should be appearing in tonight’s debate rather than in the Republican debates.
[An earlier thread today said he has been mostly independent and former Democrat until just about a year ago.]
Snarly and Hothead John are headed for the RINO ash heap. ¡Heb! remains the biggest GOPe threat.
You can’t peak too early.
Tippie-toe’s tippie-toeing didn’t help him much, either.
But the naysayers say that Ted Cruz will never catch on and needs to drop out.
Make America Great Again! - Donald Trump
Heal + Inspire + Revive - Dr. Ben Carson
Reigniting the Promise of America - Ted Cruz
Hillary for America, because Rape Victims have a Right to be Believed - Hillary Clinton
#AllInForJeb! - Jeb Bush
I’d say Trump has the best slogan, followed by Cruz. Still, I like what Hillary ahd to say.
well .. my ...my Ted is now in 3rd place? That is progress.
Cruz has doubled his poll numbers in the last couple of weeks (from 5% to 10%)
GO CRUZ!
No, he has spent a good deal of money in order to cover every county in the first four states and I believe it's 19 more states where the counties are covered, plus one possession of the US and he will keep adding more counties across the country. He knew he needed money to do this and that's why he keeps bringing in millions from individual supporters to do this task.
I've seen the numbers and he has spent way more than Trump - that's because Trump is relying on free TV coverage and general gatherings of people, for the most part, to reach voters.
Cruz does gatherings in a county or groups of counties where the people actually live and vote. There is a difference in their methods and Cruz's method gets more actual votes because it's local to the voters. Maybe Trump will be the candidate but I've seen Cruz win against all odds when he won the senate seat using this exact method. He was in my county the day before the election for the senate seat - on a platform with Sarah Palin and a huge gathering of local people. He won the next day.
Money and a ground game. Cruz imitating the current Pres in strategy. Interesting.
