Air Force veteran John Parker said he was armed but was not allowed to assist the victims during the shooting.
Parker is a student at Umpqua Community College.
John Parker was in the veterans center with other veterans. He went out to help the victims. But officials barred him from helping the victims as they were being gunned down.
I was carrying. And I was ready to help.
Parker told Hannity, Im licensed to carry and I will continue to carry.

Officials? I want names.
How did officials bar him from going to their aid?
Were the officials armed?
Seems like he could have just told them to shut up, get out of his way, and watch.
Why did the students allow themselves to be murdered one by one without fighting back? Flight 93 actions or the Paris bound train fight would have stopped this thing.
Agreed! Some skinny ass liberal tells him to stand down and he listens? This story will certainly open up a can of worms for the school to deal with. For the victims families to know that a school employee held back a possible end to the shooting?
I was thinking that also. But if he did that the “officials” would probably charge him with all kinds of crimes.
Read!!!
The incident was over, law enforcement didn’t need his help.
No one stopped him while the shooting was active.
Gateway Pundit click bait.
When I was a kid and learned about the Holocaust I used to wonder the same thing. I don’t know.
“Some skinny ass liberal tells him to stand down and he listens?”
He’s a product of Obama’s wussification of the military, no doubt.
We are so screwed.
Armed and on his way and stopped by college officials.
He should have just added the liberal officials to the body count and saved people who needed saving.
I always carry and snicker at those “No Guns Allowed” signs as I enter their premises.
Liberal overlords don’t want the people doing things for themselves.
Might make them think they don’t need liberal overlords.
Now he will be expelled from school.
I heard the incident only lasted 80 seconds. Maybe it was over by the time this incident occurred?
Stop the idiocy.
We are focusing outrage over some flunky websites click bait and then falling for the trap.
The shooting was over. The shooter was dead.
No one stopped this guy from intervening while the shooting was occurring.
Focus people, focus. Our rage needs to be used constructively not to make us look like uninformed fools.
Gateway Pundit is using us. Have we become as stupid as progressive liberals?
The victims needed to die for the narrative.
Where is the story? I clicked the link but after waiting minutes for the page to load all I saw was a video, a video capture, an add for something to removed bags from under my eyes...
But as soon as I read the caption I sort of thought that was the story.
Was the veterans center part of the school? Wasn't this school a gun free zone? I hope this guy does not get himself in trouble going 'public' about this. How would someone have stopped him? This is a confusing part of this story.
Did he and the officials know it was over? When I was watching the news They had everyone in lockdown for more than 80 seconds.
