OK, for you folks that don't know, it's National Coffee Day.
Which means FREE coffee and FREE donut at Krispy Kreme.
FREE coffee and FREE donut at Dunkin Donuts.
Of course, one per person, but hey, perhaps it will get your day going. Or ending.
Donuts are good 24/7.
I think for $1 more at Krispy Kreme you can get a latte or other coffee-type drink. Gotta admit I like what Dunkin Donuts has but haven't tried Krispy Kreme's yet (but I HAVE had a lot of their donuts - especially glazed).
So get out there and enjoy!
Thanks for the tip....DD is right around the corner.
Cool - IF you have a LaMar’s Donuts - they are giving away free mugs while supplies last.
And now, a non-Bible Prophecy ping to the gang. And the prepper who may want to pass it on.
YAY! I’m drinking coffee as I read this, because for me EVERY day is coffee day!
Woohoo! Git out there and git you some of them there free donut offers!
I know I will.
I grind the beans the night before....if I do it right before use, it wakes the house and due to static charge created by the grinding process, if I dont wait 10-15 minutes, a bunch of grinds fly out of the receptacle.
The current crop is Costco Costa Rican. Comes in a 3 lb bag. Dark Strong but very smooth....not bitter.
Free coffee at Sheetz and they then give you a free car mug too at the counter! No card needed or anything!
It’s like a government handout for the working man! Except, instead of your promised future vote, they just hope you’ll love the coffee and PAY for it in the future!
THAT is open capitalism at its finest!
[...if I dont wait 10-15 minutes, a bunch of grinds fly out of the receptacle.]
I had the same problem with static when I used my Salton grinder but found a short blast of Static Guard before grinding eliminated that problem.
Damn good coffee!

Good luck, all!!
Coffee.........
National Coffee day.
My current grinder ‘Capresso’ is my newest and quietest....still too noisy. Where does one apply the static guard? I’m going to consume the stuff.
The closest Krispy Kreme to me is 306 miles.
Dunkin Donuts is a mere 150 miles.
I guess I’ll make my own coffee again today.
Cheers!
Bummer!
me too
Not a bummer at all.
I envy the person so far away from the cosmopolitan morass.
I’m there, dude...!
[Where does one apply the static guard?]
I don’t spray it directly into the coffee grounds receiver itself but with lid off and spray in the air around it something like if you were using a room freshener.
I feel that it wouldn’t contaminate the grounds because they grounds are going to subject to very hot water during the brewing process.
Works for me, anyhow.
Cool. Been to Krispy Kreme and Lamar’s already.
But mine didn’t stock the coffee cups. Bummer.
Oh well.
