I’ve been using baking soda only to brush my teeth for over fifty years. I’ve never heard of Dakin’s solution till now!
Also works for upset stomach and heartburn.

If it is any help, look at the ingredients of “pool shock” commonly sold at Walmart to kill bacteria in backyard pool water. It is about 50% sodium hypochlorite. The issue is that they don’t really say what the other 50% is.
Me? I use it in a small quantity from time to time to kill the bugs in the toilet bowl that cause the brown ring.
