Bruno Mars was the halftime act for Super Bowl 48. I thought he put on a great show but would be nice to see a new act.

Yeah. Seem a little underwhelming. I thought he did a good job and was really looking forward to his show when he got it last time. Seems like this one should be a showstopper....either a collection of past performers or a mega star. With all apologies to Bruno, he’s not in that category.

Because, hey, when you think of a red-white-and-blue type who parallels 50 years of music alongside the growth of the NFL, NFL Films, and Sunday football culture in general you automatically think of a Johnny-come-lately Hawaiian, don’t you?
Isn’t this what caused us to be lumbered with Barky O’Drama?

I’m referring to it as Super Bowl L, it will annoy Goddell.

I'm actually surprised the NFL didn't wave a huge amount of money at Taylor Swift first--she would certainly be a current star (thanks to the very successful 1989 album) and Swift could include a number of country songs to attract the country music crowd.
