I’m referring to it as Super Bowl L, it will annoy Goddell.
Can someone explain to me how the NFL is calling this their “golden” year? I understand it’s Super Bowl 50, the golden anniversary of the first Super Bowl and all that.
But the NFL was founded in 1920. Are they trying to tell us that the NFL really started in 1966, climaxed by the first Super Bowl, which was played on Jan. 15, 1967???? Are they ignoring NFL history before the Super Bowl???
Goodell doesn’t care. It was the graphic arts department that couldn’t figure out how to make the L look good.
