Just curious...who was the actress who voiced the dispatcher?

She wasn't an actress. She was an actually dispatcher.

Milner was great. Unfortunately, the days of Malloy and Reed are long gone. I DVD Adam 12 for my 85 year old mom. She watches it faithfully. RIP Martin Milner, we enjoyed watching you over the years. You will be missed.

Martin Milner in Mr. Roberts...classic.

You refer to this, of course -- Milner is the SP officer:

Shore Patrol Officer: A little while ago, six men from your ship broke into the home of the French Colonial Governor. They started throwing things through a plate glass living room window. We found some of the things on the lawn. Large world globe. Small love seat. A lot of books. A bust of Balzac. The French writer? We also found an Army private first class. He was unconscious at the time. He claims they threw him, too.

Doug Roberts: Through the window?

Shore Patrol Officer: That's right. It seems he took them there for a little joke. He didn't tell 'em it was a governor's house. He told 'em is was, uh... well, what we call in Alabama...

Doug Roberts: Yeah, we call it the same thing in Nebraska.

Shore Patrol Officer: Well, that's about all, Lieutenant. If it makes you feel any better, Admiral Wentworth says this is the worst ship he's ever seen in his entire naval career.

Remember the SP officer's accent? It was deep South...squared.

In 2000, when the card reader at the gas pump wasn't working, I walked into the office of a gas station in Danville, VA and heard...Martin Milner. The attendant sounded exactly like the Shore Patrol officer.

RIP

I love Adam-12 and Dragnet, I’d rather watch them than most modern day cop shows.

Route 66 was Kerouac inspired .....as a kid I thought it cool and adult

Without the gay crap

Imagine the same show today

David Geffen or Michael Lombardo or Barry Diller would insist on homosexuality infesting it

Same people who did Naked City

Another ahead of its time show

Glenn Corbett who did great westerns was in it too

Saw Martin Milner at a 7-11 in Westwood back in the 70s - very ruddy complexion, almost didn’t recognize him.

I rented an apartment in Encino when I moved from Boston. !(&^ I loved it there. They had a lot of mom & pop businesses with great food. Will Wright’s ice cream shop was a haunt of mine. I used to see Bobby Troup and Marty Milner in there quite a bit. Good ol days.

Milner had a long happy life, and was never out of work from the 1950’s on.

RIP

One of the good guys.
