Sunnyvale Man Faces Animal Cruelty Charges After Allegedly Dragging Unconscious Pit Bull Down Sidewalk Along Lawrence Expressway
Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty after reports surfaced of an unconscious pit bull being dragged down a busy Sunnyvale thoroughfare.
Manuel Holguin, 34, was walking down Lawrence expressway, hauling the pit bull along the sidewalk by its leash, police said. The 1-year-old dog was rushed to a vet in critical condition on Friday after someone called 911. LA Selected as U.S. Candidate for 2024 Olympics Dr. Ken Sawyer, the first vet to treat the pit bull, said he didnt know her name, but confirmed that she was barely alive. Sawyer was able to stabilize the dog before transferring her to another facility for further treatment. Holguin now faces felony animal cruelty charges, according to authorities.
The pit bull was released from hospital and, as of Tuesday, was being kept in protective custody by the city, authorities said.
Ping
I hope they're keeping Mr Holguin in a kennel.
I think it would be ever so fitting for the puppy to be properly trained ....ahem cough cough.......prior to a caged reunion.....
Kept in a very small kennel as punishment, please. I despise these evil people.
Reverse Chet99
People who abuse animals sold be subject to exactly the pain they apply to said animals.
(another Chet ping even if you can’t reply old friend).
This over the hill ex boxer would love to pummel this guy with roundhouses and then drag him down the street.
Hope it turns out well for the pooch. At least the owner won’t get the opportunity to do that again.Imagine how that poor dog would have turned out shackled to that dickhead for life.
I wouldn’t stop you.
Whatever happened to him/her?
Funny you should say that 'roundhouse' was the very first word that came to my mind.
punching strength is the last thing to go for a boxer, and BOY would I enjoy it.
I hope they are keeping him in a damp, dark, feces filled pit with bars on top.
Poor dog. Prayers she recovers and finds a good home.
I think it would be more fitting to put a leash around his neck and drag him to the hole they drop him into and then fill it in. Anyone that does this to an animal has already or will do worse to a human being. Better to remove the risk now.
I found an elderly woman dragging her dead dog down our street. She said he had not been out of his bed all day and she though a little exercise would do him good! True story.
Apparently quite popular in the "ethnic" areas here as well, if you recall the trouble Michael Vick go into.
Poor baby. She looks like my Bella.
POS.
