Bobby Jindal says his 2016 presidential campaign rival Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker might be too “intimidated” to defend his healthcare plan against Jindal’s criticisms on the same stage.
Jindal using the word “intimidated” to describe Walker is meant to cut into Walker’s campaign messaging, where he frequently argues his battles with labor unions in Wisconsin prove he is “unintimidated” as a leader. Walker’s book title is “Unintimidated,” and that’s also the title of the pro-Walker Super PAC.
“That’s obviously up to him,” the Louisiana Governor said when asked by Breitbart News in the question-and-answer session of the call what he thinks of Walker continuing to refuse to appear on stage with him to defend his new healthcare policy.
I’m happy to talk to anybody anywhere to defend my ideas. This is an audition to become commander-in-chief, this is the most important job in terms of wrecking the future of our country. We’re at a critical point in our nation’s history. Every politician will tell you the next election is the most important one—this one really is. The idea of America in front of us is slipping away. Just think about what we’ve seen in the last seven years—Planned Parenthood is using our tax dollars to dismember babies and sell organs across the country, $18 trillion in debt, a president who’s declared war on trans fat and a truce with Iran who’s on the verge of becoming a nuclear power, our president won’t stand with Israel, our country won’t secure our southern border, we’ve got the Supreme Court trying to redefine marriage and the reality is this: These are important times.
Jindal went on to say that Walker seems to be either scared to defend his position, or not ready for primetime for a debate with Jindal.

My theory is that Walker is not that familiar with the healthcare plan he co-opted which was written in 2013 by Senators Coburn, Hatch and Burr.
I heard Jindal’s plan and it sounds rather good. I like Bobby Jindal and wish he’d get more traction. The field is way too crowded. I don’t think he can win, but, he is a solid conservative.
Scott’s not doing too well if Jindal thinks he can take him down a notch or two and move up. I think his competition with the big 3 (or 4) is long gone.

Jindal is also very young with plenty of time to recover from whatever problems he has had until now. He has made many friends and fans in Iowa that might not be reflected in this cycle.

I like both Walker and Jindal a lot. That said this “debate” request has more to do with Jindal needing attention than Walker being afraid of him.
Walker is not ready for primetime. He has no message, no vision for America and no apparent core values. He is way out of his league and not presidential material.

I think so too. He lost ground during that debate he will never get back. This latest noncommittal on birthright citizenship seems like an attempt to salvage something or break new support ground.
Health care can be fixed later. Immigration has to be fixed now.
Probably true. Walker is turning out to be the biggest disappointment so far.
I’d like to see the candidates with no chance of winning get out. Lets get down to Trump, Bush, Rubio, Carson and Cruz. One of those will be the nominee and I don’t think it is going to be the good doctor Carson.
Hatch was one of the Senators who wrote the plan that Walker adopted. He seems to identify with these GOPe hacks.
His messaging is absolutely, utterly pathetic and so by-the-book. The beauty of Trump is that he has completely thrown out the playbook and redefined the rules of campaigning. Hit your opponents hard, have passion, and don't ever back down from your positions or accept your opponent's premise.
Walker should remain in WI, and can take down that carpet-munching twit Baldwin for Senate in 2018.
On a lot of them I’ll agree with you. However, I will not stop in my efforts to aid, assist, support, abet, collude, conspire and condone that which gets rid of Jeb Bush’s candidacy as soon as humanly possible.
We need to be in the arena of ideals with the few candidates worth spit. Jeb Bush is in no way even worthy of a spit.
His best chance is to increase support from those who had supported other governors. I suspect Jindal is the only gov in the race whose conservative principles and leadership skills are real.
He's avoided criticizing Trump. I wonder if Jindal would be a nice VP choice for a balanced ticket. Why not Cruz? The US Senate is going to need to keep every proven conservative it has (all five or so of them) if that sewer is ever going to be cleaned up!

Maybe as the crowd thins out Mr. Jindal will find the attention he deserves, thereby pulling much better numbers. He has much to offer America and should be heard, imo.
