Good show. It rates right up there with “Mister Ed” and “Car 54 Where are you?”

Lol! You being tongue-in-cheek?

I thought it was better than either of those two.

Nope, those are some of my favorite shows.

The thing is in all those shows there are more memorable lines and skits than can be found in an of the reality shows we have today.

I sure do miss good writing.

The only show that comes close today is Big Bang Theory.

Green Acres is maybe the most underrated of '60's comedy TV. show There was a lot of deep underlying humor buried in what was on the surface a cornpone comedy.

I think Henning was experimenting, and it worked to perfrecton.

Who was the almost blind cannon-man? Vanderbilt?

Duffy? Or was that the bugler?

A very beautiful woman.

Rest In Peace.

F-Troop was a hoot.

Larry Storch is a comedic genius. One of the funniest people ever.

Have you notice that they don’t play the theme song with words anymore, just the melody..............

I remember some of the lyrics were “paleface and redskin”. Too politically incorrect for these times.

Next they will censor the Flintstones theme song about having “a gay old time”.

Totally agree. You could tell that the writers had some first-hand knowledge or experience of these little southern farm communities. So many subtle references to things that only someone who actually lived it would know.

Sorry, totally lost me on this part. From the little bits and pieces I've seen of it, it seems to be nearly as stupid and weird a show as Modern Family, which is complete garbage, non-funny, and simply awful.

Yes, Trooper Vanderbilt. He, as blind-as-a-bat he was, also manned the lookout tower. Lol! Actor was Joe Brooks.

Yes, Duffy was the bugler. Actor was Bob Steele.

Dobbs was the bugler, played by James Hampton. Duffy survived the Alamo, and Vanderbilt was the German translator who spoke no English.

Sorry...

I just bought the DVD of F-Troop Season 1 at Walmart for 10 bucks. What a cute show. So sorry to hear of Janie’s passing. May she rest in peace.

I don’t under stand why the captain didn’t want her after she practically threw herself at him in episode after episode.
