TV actress Melody Patterson, best known for playing Wrangler Jane on “F Troop,” died Thursday at the age of 66. Patterson died in a nursing home after multiple organ failure, according to reports.
In addition to her starring role on “F Troop” from 1965-1967, Patterson appeared on other television shows of the era including “The Monkees,” “Adam-12” and “Green Acres.” She was also in a handful of episodes of “Hawaii Five-O,” which featured her husband at the time, James MacArthur.

Well Craig was 78, Eden is 84, but patterson was only 66 and to die of multiple organ failure? Sad, RIP.
FTroop as a teenager. Wrangler Jane was cuute.
I wonder what underlying disease or disorder caused the multiple organ failure. Sixty Six is relatively young. Hell she didn’t even qualify for full Social Security benefits.

Her age means she was barely out of high school when she played the Wrangler Jane role. I had no idea she was only 6 years older than I am. Most distressing to read of her demise...condolences to her friends and family.

Yeah, she was ~3 months younger than me, and I’m doing fine.
This is a sure sign of aging, that those younger than yourself are foundering.
