Complaints have been made over the influx of topless women prancing around Times Square and charging tourists to be in photos, deeming it inappropriate and offensive. The women, who cover their bodies in paint and and typically wear nothing but a thong, are not in trouble for being topless - which is legal in New York City - but for posing with underage children. The number of women at the tourist mecca have doubled in the last year, with about 40 walking around Times Square on the weekends, according to The New York Daily News.

“Ladies” isn’t the word that comes to mind over here.
It was nice for a while under Giuliani. Then Bloomberg had the stupid idea to set up that pedestrian mall.
From the look of these shanks in the photo section of the story, paying them for a picture is a crappy investment.
I remember (unfortunately) what Times Square was like in the 60’s and 70’s..and Grand Central Station..gawd..what a mess..
Is this a legal business?,,do they have business licenses? Insurance?
Given the subject matter, what if some over eager customer wants pics of some other places???
One would think that, come November, this will all go away....

I was through TS just a few weeks ago and I can assure you that saggy butt cheeks, droopy breasts and a plethora of cellulite and just plain old fat is prevalent.
Also, filthy toenails and feet, dirt around the ankles, heels of shoes worn down, visible dirt on hands, greasy hair, etc, etc.
But I was amazed at the number of young men that flocked to them.
I did not actually see any money change hands, though.
I did see a tourist-type attempt to stuff a bill in one the "ladies" thongs, but he drew his hand back quickly when a member of New York's Corrupted, er, uh, Finest, scowled at him.
First time through TS for me in about 6 years.
It was filthy then, it is filthy now, although they have attempted to polish some of the turds.
