Donald Trump stood by the controversial comments he made about Fox News host Megyn Kelly and slammed Erik Erickson for disinviting him to a RedState event in a statement Saturday morning.
Erickson, RedState’s editor, rescinded the group’s offer to Trump to speak at the gathering after he insulted Kelly after Thursday’s GOP debate. Instead, he invited Kelly herself.
“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her — wherever,” Trump told CNN Friday.
In his own statement, Trump clarified that statement, claiming that the “whatever” was actually referring to her nose.
“Mr. Trump made Megyn Kelly look really bad — she was a mess with her anger and totally caught off guard,” the statement read. “Mr. Trump said ‘blood was coming out of her eyes and whatever’ meaning nose, but wanted to move on to more important topics. Only a deviant would think anything else.”
“By the way, the guy (Erick Erickson) who made the decision about RedState called Supreme Court Justice David Souter a ‘goat [expletive] child molester’ and First Lady Michelle Obama a ‘Marxist Harpy.’ He was forced to make a humbling apology.”
“Also, not only is Erick a total loser, he has a history of supporting establishment losers in failed campaigns so it is an honor to be uninvited from his event,” the statement continued. “Mr. Trump is an outsider and does not fit his agenda.”
Trump has only clarified his comment on Kelly — not apologized.
Erickson also came under fire in 2013 when he and fellow Fox News pundit Lou Dobbs appeared on Kelly’s show to defend comments they made in regards to a study that claimed that more women were becoming the breadwinners of the family.
“When you look at biology, look at the natural world, the roles of a male and a female in society, and other animals, the male typically is the dominant role. The female, it’s not antithesis, or it’s not competing, it’s a complementary role,” Erickson said then. “We as people in a smart society have lost the ability to have complementary relationships in nuclear families, and it’s tearing us apart.”

I’m not against him fighting fire with fire, or taking out the media, RINOs or Dems. I don’t like the constant tweeting about the same person and the name calling. He’s repeating the same thing he did to Rosie - a tweet war - that went on for I don’t know how long. I heard him say he did it with others too. He doesn’t have to answer every little slight or insult - he needs to pick his battles.
Let’s add a little truth to the story. I know Trump followers don’t like the truth, but Erikson only uninvited Trump after he called Trump’s spokesman and asked for clarification or an apology. Only after at least two phone calls where no apology or explanation was given did Erikson uninvite Trump. If Trump meant Megan Kelly’s nose and gave that explanation Erikson would not have recinded his invitation. Also if that was Trump’s intention it would not have taken him 12 hours to respond.
It’s curious that no post debate polls have been released. I’m sure that Mr Trump’s numbers taking a hit would be in our faces by now.
Ms Kelly can go pound sand. She wanted to take on Mr Trump like a man. Now she is letting men defend her like a woman with the vapors. Real women have no respect for that bs.

I never believed that having intra-Party debates made much sense.
Usually moderators are Democrats and their goal is to make the whole party look bad. The Republicans can’t get this fact through their thick skulls.
If they think dis-inviting him will help their cause, they are wrong. If he is such a nuisance why don’t they invite him and let him self destruct on his own? What a POS this erickson guy is.

10 people is ridiculous. There are 17 candidates. They should have 3 debates, 2 hours a piece. Top 5 first, next 6 and next 6. I can’t believe they are going to have a debate every friggin month! What a joke.
I’m not whining and you would be surprised at the number of young people who are engaged. They call into Mark’s show every night - kids as young as 15 who are politically savvy. You are off base on this. I don’t mind Trump hitting back - I hate the name calling, and I also hate the fact that he just keeps it up. Once he’s said his piece, and hit back, then move on. He gets into the weeds too much - sort of like Obama does - yes, I got angry with Bush for not fighting back, or John McCain when he was campaigning. People, and me included, wanted McCain to fight back, and he had no energy or desire to do so. I appreciate that Trump hits back - I’m just saying - the name calling should stop.
People are to GD lazy to read. They’d sooner get their marching orders from the swindle sheet news media. Like we have seen the past couple days.

MK is talented interviewer. But her main goal is always to make her look important, not the person she is interviewing. Once one understand that, she becomes as transparent as freshly cleaned eye glasses.
