Donald Trump stood by the controversial comments he made about Fox News host Megyn Kelly and slammed Erik Erickson for disinviting him to a RedState event in a statement Saturday morning.
Erickson, RedState’s editor, rescinded the group’s offer to Trump to speak at the gathering after he insulted Kelly after Thursday’s GOP debate. Instead, he invited Kelly herself.
“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her — wherever,” Trump told CNN Friday.
In his own statement, Trump clarified that statement, claiming that the “whatever” was actually referring to her nose.
“Mr. Trump made Megyn Kelly look really bad — she was a mess with her anger and totally caught off guard,” the statement read. “Mr. Trump said ‘blood was coming out of her eyes and whatever’ meaning nose, but wanted to move on to more important topics. Only a deviant would think anything else.”
“By the way, the guy (Erick Erickson) who made the decision about RedState called Supreme Court Justice David Souter a ‘goat [expletive] child molester’ and First Lady Michelle Obama a ‘Marxist Harpy.’ He was forced to make a humbling apology.”
“Also, not only is Erick a total loser, he has a history of supporting establishment losers in failed campaigns so it is an honor to be uninvited from his event,” the statement continued. “Mr. Trump is an outsider and does not fit his agenda.”
Trump has only clarified his comment on Kelly — not apologized.
Erickson also came under fire in 2013 when he and fellow Fox News pundit Lou Dobbs appeared on Kelly’s show to defend comments they made in regards to a study that claimed that more women were becoming the breadwinners of the family.
“When you look at biology, look at the natural world, the roles of a male and a female in society, and other animals, the male typically is the dominant role. The female, it’s not antithesis, or it’s not competing, it’s a complementary role,” Erickson said then. “We as people in a smart society have lost the ability to have complementary relationships in nuclear families, and it’s tearing us apart.”

This was posted within another thread. Why don’t they just move on and let this crap die? We have a country to save - and this is just petty - in my opinion. I think he might have some petty people around him who like this verbal fighting - or maybe he does - I don’t know - but it is getting tiresome.

Frankly there is nothing Trump could say about Megyn Kelly that would bother me. She is a POS bimbo. How she ever got that 9:00PM news slot is a mystery to me.
I think this is part of what needs to be done to save this country. For far too long the media has been given the moral high ground, pretending to be above the fray. It is way beyond the time for someone with a national spotlight to show the media for what it is. Donald Trump responds, in kind, and they all cry "foul". I am still not sold on Donald Trump, but it is great to finally see someone take it to the media.
Just perform a retaliation drive by and then move on to the next scirmish.
The same Megyn Kelly who suggested Scott Walker and other pro-lifers would stand idly and watch pregnant women die?

I disagree with you (to do so is still allowed, right) because, as I see it, he’s taking on much more than a couple of GOPe RINOs, he’s taking on the press and PC. Let ‘em have at it. Cruz is going to draft The Donald all the way to the White House... Awesome stuff we’re seeing.

Erickson was filling in for Rush Limbaugh about a month ago and it’s obvious he is in love with Trump, so I don’t believe this.
