Trump was never a governor, dealing with unions, bureaucracy, taxes, deficits, Federal regs, lawsuits, etc. I don’t care how big Trump talks - he has not had that experience or trial-by-fire.

No offense, but if you don't think that Donald Trump hasn't had to deal with all that and more, in the decades he's been in business, then you're too ill-informed to cast a serious vote.

Donald Trump was a successful corporate CEO when Walker was still dreaming of cars and girls.

You’re right: “Walker went through WARFARE in Wisconsin with unions and an out-of-control leftist judiciary.”

I like CRUZ, WALKER & TRUMP, but none are perfect.

I will happily vote for any of the three.

I will NOT vote for Jeb!

Being a businessman in NYC. You don’t think Trump dealt w/ Unions? Maybe not public sector, but I’m sure he had his share of dealings with private sector unions, especially the trades.

Trump is full of crap...
last weekend I drove highways & back roads from Illinois up through Green Bay and came back via back roads.

Roads are in great shape. Speed limit boosted to 70 mph on Interstates.
Interstates = concrete.
Back roads = asphalt

Every single builder in NY City deals with the same government and unions. The only competitive advantage is to those with the best connections and loudest voice. Its easy to get along with Unions and Progressives - just pay them off, and occasionally pay lip-service to their slogans. Trump did both.

Walker, on the other hand, had to balance conservative beliefs against governing an entire state controlled by Unions, their cronies, and leftist ideologues spread throughout. Trump and Walker are totally different circumstances. Trump is only words at this point - while Walker has the scars to prove it.

It wasn’t long ago that the forecasting arm of the Wisconsin legislature was predicting that state government by mid-2015 would be flush with a surplus topping $1 billion, which Gov. Scott Walker could have showcased in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. Today, that projected surplus has morphed into a $2.2 billion budget deficit that Republican lawmakers are struggling to fix.

That's what I'm seeing that Wisconsin has a budget shortfall somewhere between $1.7 to 2 billion dollars. Problem is that a state cannot print money like the Federal government. They have to borrow it to make up the difference.

Walker did chop taxes in the state and hoped that the Wisconsin economy would grow to cover the tax cuts.

The better way would be to grow the economy first where he would have a budget surplus, and then cut taxes to balance the budget. Wisconsin's economy didn't grow as expected so there he is Walker holding the deficit bag.

I will give you that. Having been on “both sides of the table” with a public sector union, I can appreciate his challenges in Wisconsin. My point was to not discount that Trump has executive experience dealing w/ organized labor.

Neither Walker or Cruz have ever met a payroll. They are typical politicians living off US.

If by “a lot of the money” you mean “60% of the money” then you would be correct. But you would also be insane to claim that as a sign of evil. Come on, 60%? Oh, boy, just a little over half.

What you are seeing is incorrect. It is a lib talking point that has never been correct.

The truth is that at the start of the budget process last year all the state organizations were asked what they wanted, and if the budget funded them all, there would have been a 2 billion dollar deficit. The budget, which was signed few weeks ago, is balanced. Everybody did not get what they asked for.

It was a lie when it was first called a deficit, it was known to be a lie then, and anybody who claims it is still true today is either misinformed or intentionally lying.

Ah, yes, the resident ankle-biter chihuahua and expert on all things Wisconsin.

Nice lefty sources you have there who are citing pre-budget stats - here's an analysis of the actual budget that's been signed into law.

Wisconsin's budget is balanced.

School choice (vouchers) have been expanded. (I thought conservatives were in favor of that?)

No tax increased for the THIRD YEAR in a row.

Bonding down 67%.

Unemployment lower than national average.

This in spite Obama's sucky economy.

The rest of the US would do well to be in the "mess" that Wisconsin is in.

Perfect? Hardly. And I'm thinking that the only person who ever walked the earth who would qualify as a "perfect" candidate doesn't want to take the pay cut.

-—That’s what I’m seeing that Wisconsin has a budget shortfall somewhere between $1.7 to 2 billion dollars.

You are looking in the wrong place. Walker saved hundreds of millions using Act 10. He PAID down outstanding debt

——the GAAP deficit was at $2.9 billion, but that number has shrunk to $1.3 billion at the end of fiscal year 2014 (FY14), according to the latest Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CARF) published by the Department of Administration.-——

http://www.maciverinstitute.com/2014/12/wisconsins-gaap-deficit-shrinks-by-16-billion-in-past-three-fiscal-years/

at the same time he gave taxpayers a tax cut and still had a slight surplus at budge close.

That budget deficit is a budget exercise predicting unconstrained spending and NO GROWTH in revenues. This happens every budget.

——The better way would be to grow the economy first where he would have a budget surplus, and then cut taxes to balance the budget.

And that’s what will happen with this budget also.

FYI: At every turn the Dems in WIS blocked job creation for just that reason - to use it against him later on. WIS unemployment rate abt 4.8%.

Walker’s big job creation item was an iron smelter mine in Upper WIS where there are virtually no jobs, other than seasonal tourism. Dems did everything, used every lie to stop the mine from even having an environmental impact statement.

There is no candidate/politician the Dems have hated more than Walker in recent years.

Oh, its lying conservative joy.

——The schools are a disaster.

Ho hum. Same old s..

*****With 73 percent of public and private high school graduates taking the ACT college admission exam, the state’s 2014 average composite score increased one-tenth of a point to 22.2, making Wisconsin SECOND IN THE NATION on the ACT assessment (CAPS MINE).

http://gbea.weac.org/2014/08/20/wisconsin-students-score-second-in-nation-on-2014-act/

READING AND MATH SCORES FOR MOST WISCONSIN public school students are up.

...

Test results released Tuesday by the state Department of Public Instruction show that just under half of the state’s students scored in the two highest ratings in math.

In reading, nearly 37 percent were in the two highest categories.

The scores were up slightly from five years ago when only about 47 percent of students were proficient or advanced in math and nearly 36 percent were in reading.

****Proponents of school choice in Wisconsin have a lot to be thankful for in the just approved Wisconsin State Budget.

Increased funding for public schools, charter schools and voucher programs, including $48 million more for vouchers
Increased the voucher amounts for all three school choice programs from $7,210 for elementary students and $7,856 for high school students
Adopted a “money follows the child” funding mechanism

Walker, in a huge protracted fight, managed to take the lavish perks teachers made and make them a thing of the past. The “right” which was eliminated was ever expanding health plans which the teachers paid ZERO into. They now have to pay about 30% into the plan, and no longer are forced to join the teachers’ Union. (This was actually the meat of the whole matter.) Almost all of the agonizing was done to protect union bosses/leader jobs, which are now in decline.

Virtually no teacher lost a job, but all the districts which adopted the bill saw surpluses (where there had been huge deficits) and even increases in teachers’ salaries, while lowering local property taxes. State taxes were also lowered.
