Every single builder in NY City deals with the same government and unions. The only competitive advantage is to those with the best connections and loudest voice. Its easy to get along with Unions and Progressives - just pay them off, and occasionally pay lip-service to their slogans. Trump did both.
Walker, on the other hand, had to balance conservative beliefs against governing an entire state controlled by Unions, their cronies, and leftist ideologues spread throughout. Trump and Walker are totally different circumstances. Trump is only words at this point - while Walker has the scars to prove it.
I will give you that. Having been on “both sides of the table” with a public sector union, I can appreciate his challenges in Wisconsin. My point was to not discount that Trump has executive experience dealing w/ organized labor.
