2016 Victory Empulse..................
Motorcycle ping!.......................
It might be fun to ride, but I would definitely miss my the sound of my Vance & Hines True Dual exhaust.
65 to 100 miles per charge and only 20 grand. They’ll be flying off the shelves! </ sarc>
Couple years ago at the MotoGP race at Indianapolis, there were a couple of electric motorcycle races as prelims.
It was unique because of lack of noise. They were pretty fast.
I haven’t seen them since, not sure if the series is still going or not.
will get you two miles really fast!
you can coast from there...
Oh Yes! I want to sneak up on cars so they can run me over! M/C need to be heard first so they can be seen. Not to sure I want a silent M/C.
Pop three wheelies.. Rejuice time.. Bummer. Maybe they can make it solar.. Or better yet. wind power.
I'll take this one instead. They can keep the toy.

9 hours of charging then 100 miles...then 9 hours of charging....
By bother? Just get a scooter at 100 MPG.
Many good motorcycles get 50 MPG. Gas is the least of the costs.
What good is a motorcycle you can’t hear rev up?
They raced some Victory electric bikes at the Isle of Man TT this year, racers were able to average over 100mph for a 37 mile lap. I don’t recall if they did more than one lap, though.
Anyone that wants to go one hundred and ten miles an hour on a motor cycle will eventually remove themselves from the gene pool. Not like they were in the deep end to begin with.
When I'm driving, I try to be alert for motorcycles but the roar of their engines usually alerts me that one is nearby. Without that roar, it becomes much easier to switch lanes or otherwise make a traffic change without realizing that a motorcycle is near you.
It's that way with cars too. I was walking my dog down the street one night and I usually pay attention to approaching automobiles and get out of the way. There are no sidewalks in my neighborhood so I have to get off the road to let them by safely - usually by walking onto somebody's yard or driveway. However one early evening, when there was little light, one of those electric cars passed my by inches. I had no idea it was there until it was already alongside me and all I heard was a gentle "whoosh" as it went by. I don't think the driver even saw me. Almost got Stephen Kinged.
