OK. I will try the above listed items, including the cupcakes with chocolate frosting that were left. If there are any left.
I figure if an after-market part is new at a parts warehouse, I shouldn’t have to spend top dollar for the same part with a top dollar parts warehouse when I can get it for a lot of $$$ less.
When all is said and done, I still like to eat and I like nice clothes...especially since I’ve lost 40+ # and am still losing...
Actually, I looked down the throat of a carburetor the last time I looked at Busdaddy’s racecar... THAT engine, I understand! LOL!
I have a TRS-80 big floppy drive salvaged from my dad’s office long ago. Weighs about 5-6 lbs. Amazingly heavy castings for the chassis and motor.
Thank you, sweet, generous friend.
There’s one around my mother’s house. somewhere.
The booger about those old things — and the thing that killed off the TRS-80 — was the shielding was nonexistent. If you switched the drive on or off with a disk in it, the resulting pulse in the fields around the power circuitry would nearly always ruin the data on the disk. The TRS-80, itself, exited the market because it wasn’t feasible to make the unit comply with FCC Rules regulating radio frequency emissions.

Interesting article. Thanks for the background.
You’re welcome. I get very anxious over my cats, too!
More fun animal facts:
Zebras’ night vision is as good as cats’ and owls’.
Killer whales can live 60-70 years in the wild.
The thing about orcas, I knew, and I probably knew about zebras, too, but forgot it with all the other stuff cluttering up my brain. Interesting stuff, that!
You have FReepmail.
Got it.
The zebra book also said that biologists in South Africa are trying to breed some zebras back to the extinct Quagga, which was a close relative of the “standard” plains zebra.
THAT is interesting!
I need to get something to eat, then take my pills and go to bed.
Some days are just plain crappy.
I’m going to pray for your kitty Bobbie as well. You know how I feel about cats.
Keep me in the loop dear Lady. Bless you and all your kittehs.
Ostriches have the largest eyes of any land animal.
De todos los animales terrestres, los avestruces tienen los ojos mas grandes.
(It was a bilingual book.)
Did bablefish do me good with the translation? Tag line
“duct tape”
You could ask bablefish what a royal turkey is...
I mean in Spanish, not the crowd in Wash DC..
On the subject of duct tape, Spanish speaking wife of a friend calls it “la cinta gris” (the gray tape)..
I love farting around with the old stuff. All I have here is the iMac from 2001 and a 1st gen NES with 4 weak games from 1985 [Superspike V’Ball/Dick Tracy/Spot: The Video Game/WWF WrestleMania]. A co-worker needed cash, so I made a $30 purchase to help him. Played it once. Whee and here it sits. :)
Looks fine to me.
Beautiful kitteh. Is it thr same kitteh from the previous two days?
This is a brother of the previous kitteh.
Ah, you can see the family resemblance.
Very handsome family.
