Disturbing facts continue to emerge surrounding the alleged murder of a four year-old child who reportedly died at the hands of an 11 year-old child. The Daily Mail reports on the disturbing past:
An 11-year-old boy who allegedly strangled a four-year-old boy had a history of disturbing behavior including choking another child and carrying around dead farm animals.
The older boys violent outbursts are detailed in an arrest warrant which shows a horrific catalog of abuse meted out by him to other kids.
His latest alleged victim, four-year-old Braydan Anthony Trahern, died at 12:40pm Tuesday at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida a day after being attacked.
Under police questioning, the 11-year-old reportedly said hed been angry because his mom told him they couldnt afford presents or a party for his birthday.
According to the medical examiner, Trahern, who lived in of Palatka, north Florida, was the victim of a homicide and the cause of death was strangulation by the older child.
Earlier in the week, the 11-year-old was charged with aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm. Those charges could now be upgraded to murder.
According to Putnam County police, the two boys lived together with their mothers, who are a couple, in a mobile home.
The Mom of the 11-year-old has been named as Vanessa Jones and the dead boys mom has been named as Kyra Trahern, according to The Florida Times Union.
At around 4am Monday, a male friend staying at the home was awakened by the older boy and found the younger child slumped over, unresponsive, with blood coming out of his mouth.
The man called 911 and Jones, the 11-year-olds mother tried to revive the four-year-old.
When Putnam County sheriffs deputies arrived at the home on Westover Drive they found 12 people, six adults and six minors, according to the Sheriffs Office.
They saw some suspicious bruises on the four-year-olds neck. He was rushed to a Gainesville hospital about 45 miles away and pronounced dead around midday Tuesday.
A detective photographed the childs body and noted several factors consistent with strangulation.
On Monday, the older boy was taken to a juvenile detention facility and charged with aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm.
Investigators didnt immediately have a motive for the attack. But disturbing details have emerged about the 11-year-old, with the childs mother reportedly telling investigators that she had had trouble with him for years.
An arrest warrant details how, during one incident, he choked another child until he turned blue in the face. His mom was able to stop him that time, she said.
She added that when he was three or four years old, he set his crib on fire, which caused the house they were living in to burn to the ground.
He also had a fascination with dead animals and dug them up, cut off their limbs and carried them around.
His mother told investigators that her son had a lot of anger issues and is on medication.
There were also several instances in which the 11-year-old was accused of sexually deviant behaviors as a victim and as a perpetrator..
From December 2014 to June 2015, he went to a juvenile sexual treatment facility in Miami, but after he returned home, his mom said he behaved for the first couple of weeks then became angry again.
She added that her son and the boy he allegedly killed did not get on and would often get into verbal and physical confrontations.
The 11-year-old said he had been upset when he learned his mom was broke and could not get him presents for his birthday. He continued to be upset when he was playing with Trahern that night.
Using a mannequin to show what hed done to Trahern he demonstrated how he placed his hands around Traherns neck and squeezed and shook him because he was in his mood.
The boy also showed how he shoved his knee into Traherns stomach while they were playing.
When he was asked if he knew what happens when someone is choked, he said it makes it hard for someone to breathe.
As he continued to demonstrate what hed done he said he wanted Braydan to come back to life.
Florida Department of Children and Families spokesman John Harrell said: We just started our investigation.
Were nowhere near determining whether abuse or neglect by the caregivers led to death of this child.
This is a horrific story. Please pray for the family of the little boy who had his future robbed from him.
The mobile home isn’t what caught my attention :)
I know, layer upon layer.
I wrote a paper for my English class on the impact of boys not having a father in their life. Violence was one of the main problems that these boys have problems controlling. So we can thank our lovely Supreme Losers and their erroneous belief that not having both a mother and father will not harm children. Unless, of course, this is their insidious intent.
Of course, you’re not allowed to say that anymore. Notice the comments here about the boy being a “bad seed” who would have turned out horribly no matter who parented him.
I don’t buy that. Not in this case, at least. The kid is seriously messed up. It’s not like he was just doing these things for no reason. He has been bullied and emotionally neglected by 2 women whose perverted “commitment” to each other and desire to be “normal” spurred them to use the little boys to feel normal without any regards to the childrens’ welfare. Furthermore, the presence of a male “friend” in the home also disturbs me.
How do you know that for certain? I mean, how many serial killers have completely normal home lives?
I agree.
That was my first though when I heard about that 600 pound woman who lived for years on her sofa to the point her skin grafted to it.
From the article:
Probably by the male friends that these women associate with.
Kids like that need a dirtpile, a couple of hand shovels, and a bunch of tonka trucks - not meds.
“There were also several instances in which the 11-year-old was accused of sexually deviant behaviors as a victim and as a perpetrator.”
Yes, he learned the behavior somewhere, so I would imagine he was sexually abused.
“Psych meds dont make a dent in a person who is a psychopath.
Unless the meds are Thorazine/etc. major tranqs. Sleep subdues the psychopathy somewhat.
Would that be this Vanessa Jones of Palatka, FL?
Vanessa Ann Jones was booked in Putnam County, FL on 4/03/2015 at 11:44.
Is that a woman?
Is Bruce Jenner?
The gentlest acceptable response is to try this future democrat/liberal as an adult and lock him up forever. Sadly, compassionate liberals will keep releasing him until he has killed enough people.
I would disagree with the causation. Apparently the perp was sexually abused and then became an abuser. I would bet the environment in which he was brought up played a big role. Nevertheless, he's now apparently a full-blown sociopath that is beyond repair...
“The child didnt have anger issues. He is a Sociopath with no empathy for others. He is an 11 year old serial killer. Regardless of ones position on the Lesbian relationship, it had nothing to do with this bad seed. He would have been like that in an ideal family.”
Indeed. Fascination with dead animals and torturing and killing small animals at a young are are classic signs of sociopathy (absence of empathy, a self-concern that excludes all others, lack of impulse control, habitual and convincing liar, etc.) AND sociopathy seems to be inborn, not a function of environment, and sociopathy is incurable.
