Of the Freepers who answered the poll, about half actually gave an opinion of what Trump will do. The results:
A. Stay in and win - 7 B. Stay in and lose - 2 C. Run as an independent - 4 D. Fade away - 5 E. Be killed by forces unknown - 2 F. Too early to tell/something else/unclear/ - 20+
E: but those forces will be INTERNAL and not EXTERNAL.
I think he will easily win against Hillary.
So...the press is degenerated to playing “Where’s Waldo” with Trump?
Maybe we can accomodate them?
JoePro?
I see a circus-midway filled with people and a bright yellow comb-over near the clown-car exhibit. N’est pas? Don’t forget to have a real Waldo character, too!
There is a rumor out that he has sent a "Change of Address" card to the Post Office listing 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. Washington D.C.
I suspect he is succeeding beyond his expectations and has gone to Scotland for a think until Saturday. Of course over in the UK the migrant crisis is big news!
1. The Republican party leadership and ~most~ of the Republican primary candidates dump on Trump so nastily that Trump withdraws from the Republican primaries and runs as an independent.
2. Most suppose that this throws the presidency to Hillary (or some other Dem if Email-gate goes south on her). To this I point out:
Is there, then, any good result of Trump making an almost-successful run for the White House as a third-party candidate? Most definately, to wit:
The point: Trump's biggest potential for good comes from the possibility that he breaks up the Washington Cartel and/or rattles the Rino Establishment so thoroughly that conservatives have a true fighting chance to take control of the party (instead of playing "Me Too" as we are now relegated to doing).
Trump is an utter fraud. He's a male Hillary with Bush-oid tendencies.
“I suspect he is succeeding beyond his expectations and has gone to Scotland for a think until Saturday.”
That’s exactly what he is doing. Getting away from it all to study up for the debates.
I wish he would turn up the heat on Congress to stop the funding of the Planned Parenthood murder/body parts industry.
Trump will also cause the “establishment” to change the rules. He is spending just like all other candidates, although he is using his own money. There is one catch though. The businesses getting his money are owned by him too (airlines, advertising, security, staff, etc.). He is only changing which pocket his cash goes in, enabling him to make a dollar multiply its effectiveness, unlike any other candidate. So they will probably get the rules changed to outlaw such deals. Also, by doing it his way, he is probably costing taxpayers the least of all of them.
It is disturbing to see the Koch Brothers ban him from candidate forums.
I stopped paying attention to polls many years ago. So should everyone. Do what’s right in your heart and you can’t go wrong.
He is spending less. Have you seen a Trump commercial yet? He understands marketing and the free market.
Pray America is waking
Oh, my. Yes. The Establishment will most definately change the rules respecting acquisitoin of the nomination, if Trump shows real potential for snagging it for himself.
But, the Establishment is already behind the curve on the rule-changing schtick. From all I can see (admitted, perhaps not much), he's "doing politics" by utterly different rules than ordinary politicians do politics. And, it's his own brand of "doing politics" that has garnered him the support he has, not his policy stances.
What's got the public's attention (those who pay attention, that is) is Trump's satisfaction of their demand for anyone but the same old dissembling, weenie, pissants that so thoroughly infect the ruling class in Washington. Frankly, this is what makes Bernie Sanders so appealing to Dem libs.
Why disturbing? It's what you'd expect from the Koch Brothers! Why? Because they finance policy champions. They're not interested in even-handedness. Good for them. Like I said, I'd expect nothing different!
Trump may well run as an independent—start a new party to do so or take over an existing 3rd Party—Get 20% of Vote—BUT at the last week of the race—drop out and throw his support to the Republican Party and their man Christie or Walker or Bush III. his party can grow and become a force in American politics beyond what most 3rd Parties do.
If Trump endorses anyone, it will be Cruz.
Endorse Cruz?-He would serve as his VP!
Exactly what I was thinking.
