Going around is the story of a Democratic activist who encountered diversity on the subway and was culturally enriched with a folding knife. The Federalist goes on some kind of shaming rant of the beta males who watched his encounter with vibrancy, but this is misguided. The better question is why would we expect anyone to help?
The freedom of self-defence has been under full-court attack, particularly by the progressive types of whom Sutherland was a part. If you read his blog and look at the voting record of the man he interned with, Sutherland was in favour of removing peoples ability to protect themselves and others. Why would anyone protect a man who not only is unwilling to protect himself but is dedicated to preventing others from protecting themselves?
Beyond the why, is the how. Contrary to what you see in the movies, fighting off a knife attack is very difficult if youre unarmed and dont have training. Davidson has no clue what hes talking about when he says, Any two adult men in that subway car could have stopped him, no matter how crazy or strong he was. Thanks to Democrats like Sutherland, DC has very restrictive concealed carry laws and bans open carry, among other restrictive gun laws.
The only effective means of stopping stopping a knife attacker is practically illegal in Washington, so how exactly was someone supposed to intervene?

But, but, but your screen name tells us what state you're in. WE WILL FIND YOU AND YOUR FOOD. /s
LOL! Its a big state. :-)
As good liberals, they should sit quietly while they’re cut to shreds.
“And a briefcase slammed into the side of the knee would have brought the attacker down.”
You hope.
“I don’t listen to society.”
Only a fool stops listening.
When society tells you not to take action to protect them then when you do they will feel you were wrong. Britain now prosecutes anyone that harm a bad guy, it is considered assault. We have started moving in that direction as well. When society tells you not to be armed or have any other weapon they are telling you very directly they don’t want bad guys harmed, regardless if you are protecting anyone.
“Its too bad the atomization worked against him when the time came.”
Actually, it’s not. Ironic yes. Too bad, no.
Only a moron lets society make his decisions for him.
“Only a moron lets society make his decisions for him.”
Only a moron does thing belligerently. Heeding warnings from someone is not being a moron.
Objectively, we've gone the other way. 30 years ago only and handful of states allowed CCW, and only one (NH) had constitutional carry without a permit. Now 3/4 of states have permits, and I think it's five states with no permit needed. Of course the left controls the media and education, and will continue to try to push back by pushing their anti defense memes, but so far their failure has been spectacular.
My ex neighbor made a point to “put the word on the street” that he had numerous guns. The dindus sat on their steps, smoked their blunts, drank their 40s, and watched his every move. One day when he was gone they kicked in his door and took all his guns.
The good news was, they grabbed the guns and left. The could easily have remained inside and murdered the guy with his own weapons, and likely raped his girlfriend. This was 10 years ago. The Psychopath Quotient has increased significantly since then.
First rule of opsec: Hush.
You do it your way we do it our way. We leave armed and come back armed. Nobody is getting raped or killed on our property. Well not us anyway. Worry about you not us.
Your ex neighbor should have moved to another neighborhood. Living in a ghetto is just stupid to start with.
And if it doesn't, you have a thug with a knife now targeting YOU.
Note to self: buy some canned chili. :)
The victim’s company helped raise $150M for various Democrats. Nice.
And a gun. LOL!
Already in the pantry. :)
The US is not Britain. Britain does not have a Constitution or a 2nd Amendment. Now they are disarmed.
“Now they are disarmed.”
The US Supreme Court has rendered most of the Constitution void. The 2nd is in their crosshairs.
