To the north of California's famous San Andreas fault is a less known, but possibly more deadly, fault line. The Cascadia subduction zone runs some 700 miles from northern California to Vancouver.
In a deeply reported article for The New Yorker, Kathryn Schulz tells the tale of how this fault lies dormant for periods of 243 years, on average, before unleashing monstrous tremors. The Pacific Northwest is 72 years overdue for the next quake, which is expected to be between 8.0 and 9.2 in magnitude.

Beans, bullets, and band-aids.
I would prefer one in Washington, DC, it it’s possible for FEMA to arrange that.
Jade helm?
There are other areas that could cause the same problems, or much worse. Hannibal, Missouri fault, Yellowstone super volcano eruption, end of interglacial warming period.
Water will be a huge problem for the first 3 days until FEMA shows up.
Are they planning to set it off and save the rest of the state of Washington?
O I wouldn’t worry about FEMA. I’m more worried about God’s wrath for HE himself is arranging all these things himself. Since this nation has fallen away from Him.
However, I agree Washington D.C. deserved to have God’s wrath fall upon it.

At which point water, food, fuel, safety, repairs and rebuilding--in short, survival--will ALL become a huge problem.
Because FEMA does not help. They hinder, hamper and harm.
Forget Obama’s Bad Deal with Iran , lets distract with EARTHQUAKE !!!!!!!
Is it too early to blame it on fracking?
Never mind that fault line. I am worried about the ticking time bomb under Yosemite.
More control.
Unless it happens at high tide....
Me too.
If you live on the west coast, you need to read the entire article and stop the juvenile smart-assed comments.
