I would posit that the homeless situation no longer fits the current narrative and are therefore ignored.
With democrats in charge the homeless disappear. Once a republican gets in, mayor, governor, president, “homelessness” will be in the papers the following day.
Maybe Maobama has given them all a “pain pill”.
There are no ‘homeless’ when a Dem is in the WH........................
They’re all here...in L.A.
Homelessness was a national news crisis when Reagan was in office. It was the top story and took up half the news every night for a very long time.
I believe it sort of went away like the body count in Afghanistan and Iraq the news was did every night when W was in office. They dropped it as soon as Obama took office.
Another popular news story under republican presidents is genocide. It is happening now more than ever but the media doesn’t want to make Obama look bad.
Yet, hardly any news on them today, even though our unemployment rates are certainly higher.
Discussions of the “wage gap” go silent under democrat presidents too.
Because democrat President cards more.
They are all in Honolulu.
They even camp out at the airport for the night.
.
See the comments above: there are only homeless under Republican administrations.
If you disagree, you’re obviously racist.
If it wasn’t for the NY Post (owned by Rupert Murdoch), there would be no mention of the homeless explosion in NYC. They’ve been running stories about it growing over 50% in the last 4 years alone, and parks being full of them sleeping and used needles around, but I doubt there’s any mention of it in the mainstream media in this Obamanation.
Soylent Green?
The homeless are only a problem when there’s a Republican administration. When there is a Democrat administration they are ignored. It’s just another example of blatant media hypocrisy and partisanship.
They disappear FROM THE MEDIA (only) when a democrat is in charge.
When it’s a republican’s turn they are ALL OVER THE PLACE.
Iffen you were to actually go and look—they’re ALL OVER THE PLACE.
just search for “homeless tent camps” and voila!
I was homeless and on the street in Nashville TN for about eighteen months in '10-'11. Large numbers of homeless. Once Colorado did what they did the population dropped dramatically. Not many here now. And if Florida follows thru with legalization they'll all be gone from here.
Remember in 2006-2007 when Brian Williams would, literally, lead every nightly newscast with gas prices or the latest casualty figure from Iraq?
Same thing.
Downtown San Francisco is still loaded with homeless people.
