VERY evil.

Especially the black ones.

Hey! I hadn’t thought of that before. Anti-gunners are RACIST. They hate BLACK guns more than they hate any other color gun.

“I think Kalashnikov has started production in Venezuela as planned.”

I think they’ve been running full blast in Venezuela for a while now. Where else are S American revolutionaries and drug dealers supposed to get guns?

Was originally in PA outside of Philly but I think they then moved to Florida.

“Always nice to have 30 rounds in a pinch.”

So will the 30 rd mags made for the Russian AK fit these new Made in the USA versions?

Every AK I fired in Iraq had a terrible barrel climb. Add to that the thing got so darn hot after one or two magazines that you almost needed asbestos gloves to hold it.

Excellent question. If not, hopefully Magpul will make a nice cheap one.

Please go to the linked Kalashnikov website and check out the specs for the US made rifle. Turns out the US version has a bolt that can be locked back. The older AKs and the VEPR II I had before the TBA did not allow the bolts to be locked back, a serious defect when cleaning and when at a range at cease fire time when weapons are supposed to be cleared and bolts to be locked back.

I believe Century Arms has been manufacturing a milled receiver version in the U.S., Nevada IIRC, for a couple of years now.

"Tapco makes very good ones."

I've never tried Tapco - how are they price wise compared to a P-mag?

I heard that those Romanian AK’s use a stamped receiver. Are those made here machined? The Romanian ones I see at gun shows sure look cheaply made.
