Hi FRiends,
I am seriously considering a move to Austin, Texas this summer and I could use your help. In a nutshell, I am tired of the bleak and stagnant Chicago economic climate, the harsh Illinois winters and the Chicago machine. Its time for a change in my life to find a new opportunity.
I am a young marketing professional (30 years old) and have no wife or kids to provide for. Does anyone know of any good employment agencies in the Austin area to find some temporary or permanent work, so I can start my move down south? Any help is appreciated and I have taken the steps to start planning for relocation. Theres a buddy whos opening up his apartment to me so I will have a place to stay in Austin, but I need temporary work so I can provide for myself while I look for permanent work in Texas.
Thanks for all your help,
erod
Much needed for the lakes in your area.
July, Aug & Sept are dry & hot, unless we get more tropical weather.
I know there is good IT (Information technology) employment there I don’t know about Marketing though, but it’s pretty much considered the San Fran of Texas though if you can take that, super liberal. So expect all the hell that comes with that like people pushing communism, socialism, homosexuality, pro-illegal alien, pro-terror, anti-USA, anti-capitalism, anti-white people stuff on you. Pretty much like the liberal cesspool of the East coast New York city where I grew up and thankfully escaped from. Right now NYC liberals are once again trying their darndest to raise the crime rates because liberals can’t get enough of it. If you can believe it, before a cop can make an arrest they want the cop to give his name, badge number, precinct and explain why he is arresting the person AND to use minimal force while arresting. “Mr. Gangster who was just trying to blow my head off, my name is Officer Murphy, my badge number is 7483, my precinct is 54, you are under arrest for trying to blow my head off, I apologize if I scratched your arm a bit while arresting you, please do not sue”

Austin is on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, which is the most beautiful place on earth. I wish you success.

What is a google?
In math terms, the correct spelling of this word is googol, which refers to a numerical value that, written out, looks like this: 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000. In simpler terms, a googol is a value with the number 1 and 100 zeroes behind it.
Plano considerably more conservative than Ausdtin.
or forbid Houston
I’m in Houston. We’ve got a lesbian mayor who is a big time liberal. Not to mention that the constituency that elected Sheila Jackson-Lee is here. There is also a large gay community. If you can deal with all of that the job market here is very good. I only plan to stay at most another two years then I am escaping.
um.. get a job first- THEN move!
Check out walking to freedom website walkingtofreedom.com to get more info on Texas.
Austin? Hellhole infested with Marxist/Leftist maggots. You’d die there. Move to Spain. Buy a really nice home for 40K and get the hell out of the Great Satan - you’d need to learn Spanish though and hopefully you’re single because the Spanish women are the most beautiful women in the world. Food is cheap and plentiful. Spain is pretty conservative overall - steeped in tradition.
There’s Craigslist. Lots of Marketing type jobs posted.
I can live with a liberal city, for now. The rest of Texas is mainly red, having a connection down there, my friend, will help with the transition.
You need to go to Dallas or forbid Houston. Austin is government and Techie. But please I beg leave the Chicago politics in Chicago.
Good luck.
Thanks for the recommendation, what cities would you recommend in Texas?
Try Fort Worth or Houston area. That’s my advice.
I've lived in Houston since 1969. It would seem to me that if someone wants to come to place with good employment options that the nation's 4th largest city would be a good choice. The lesbian mayor is awful, but I believe she is on her last term due to term limits. A lot of people thought she was the best choice for mayor as she had a reputation for being fiscally conservative. Also, she ran against a really weak field.
(Queen) Sheila Jackson Lee represents a heavily gerrymandered district. It was districted so as to keep her (idiot) voters in one district so that a republican would not have to pander to them.
I should say I don't really live in Houston, but in Fort Bend County. You don't really have to live in Houston to live in Houston. I work in the Montrose area, which is Houston's version of the Castro. It's not that weird during the day, but you don't want to be here at night.
Austin is in a beautiful area, but is a much more expensive place to live. If I were coming to Texas to get a job and get out of Chiraq, I'd pick Houston or Dallas.
Thanks for the recommendation. :)
