If you intend to buy Ted Cruz's new book, "A Time for Truth: Reigniting the Promise of America," then today or tomorrow (6/29 or 6/30) is the absolute best time to do it.
It will be released tomorrow, 6/30, and its "numbers" will be counted at that point. On Amazon, with pre-orders, it has already reached #1 in Political Leader Biographies, but it's only #143 in all books.
The bigger Ted's book's numbers are, the more press it will get, and the better it makes him look overall. If his book rockets upward in the next couple of days, that will be news, and will make him look more attractive (hah! or scarier, same thing) to the MSM that reports these things to the public at large.
So if you're a Cruz supporter (though I know not everyone here on FR fits that category) I suggest that tonight or tomorrow is a great time to buy a copy of his book (or several? Christmas is coming, you know!). It will also help if you can cross-post this or your own blurb for his book on social media. If you buy it on Amazon, that will help his numbers there. If you prefer to get it at your local Target or Costco or whatever, that will help his overall numbers. If you buy it at Barnes & Noble or Copperfields (a particularly chi-chi liberal bookstore group here in California), you can watch the clerk's mind explode, which may be entertaining.
Put your dollars where your heart is!
They are not the same company, BAM is an Alabama company that outsells B and N. Have not heard one way or another about their politics or opinions.
Just pre-ordered mine from Amazon to help his ratings, and HOPEFULLY, his chances of becoming the next President.
Squeeeee! I just looked again at the book’s page on Amazon.com . . . and it’s gone up in the ratings! It’s now at #135 in books! Let’s keep it going!!! Seriously, please email your friends or post it on social media or something. If it cracks the top 100 on Amazon, that’s excellent.
Done and done.
I ordered a copy a week ago from Amazon, and pre-orderd on Audible.
It will be in my Audible library at noon. The hard copy gets donated to my local library tomorrow.
P.S.its number 89 overall right now on Amazon.
Folks, it’s also important to give four and five star reviews to this book.
Some idiot gave it a one star review as of now, four am EST.
Thanks for the tip.
I’m a Cruz die hard, my copy was preordered from Auidble last month and I will be listening to it today.
The hard copy gets donated to my local library tomorrow.

Just a thought: *Ask* them what they do with donated books. Back when I sold my first short story, I wanted to donate the book to my hometown library and to my local library. My hometown library wouldn’t take it. They said they only accepted donations to go in the library sale, not for the shelves. My local library was willing to accept it but only if I gave them three copies and filled out quite a long form (which I did ‘cause I’m a sucker). Anyway, they may or may not put it on the shelves, so you might want to inquire.
Contributed earlier, bought the book today.
Cruz is now at #13 overall in books...it is 7:30 am Central time on Tuesday, June 30.
If they are in Alabama, the odds are better that they are not part of big Anal, but nowadays, it's no guarantee.
Bumping your thread, along with maybe a dumb question.
Does it benefit Ted’s campaign to order from his site (tedcruz.org) rather than a bookstore? If so, I’ll get it from there.
Go to fetchbook.info to get an instant comparison of prices from all online dealers.
Thanks.
Good question, but I don’t know. Is he offering signed books? Then they probably have boxes of them sitting in an office and just send them out when they’re ordered. If they’re not signed, they’re probably coming directly from some “fulfillment center,” such as Amazon. (Though they’d probably get a cut from that.) If you can find a phone # on the site, I’d just call and ask.
Well at least we know the truth on why he is running.....to sell books. This doesn’t shock me. I knew he was just trying to make money. I guess 175,000 a year plus perks is not enough for him. At least being President isn’t his priority thank goodness.
