I've always been struck, even though I didn't always agree, with the fierceness with which the Judge presented her weekly diatribe against her cause of the week. She was to the point, sarcastic when necessary, and absolutely brutal with her honesty, taking no prisoners.
So, I was really surprised when her entire hour, unless I missed it on a 'necessary run', did not mention the Scotus decision on homosexual marriage. Ignoring one of the most momentous decisions by the court that seeks to transform our nation and human history, Janine was silent as a lamb.
We heard about the bogus escape from prison convicts who had been tracked for weeks (conveniently) all the way until tyrannical decisions, devoid of constitutional authority were released by these courts. We also heard a bit about terrorists, and then we received an update on the convicts....earth-shattering news that.
So:
1. Was she muzzled -- since Fox was almost silent on the decisions this weekend?
2. Was she afraid -- didn't want to hurt her ratings?
3. Is she in favor of gay marriage (something that I found out about Steve Hayes Friday on the Brett Baier show that surprised me.)
In any way, this fierce freedom Lioness was a fluffy, nice ewe.
Did Janine Cave?
“We heard about the bogus escape from prison convicts who had been tracked for weeks (conveniently) all the way until tyrannical decisions, devoid of constitutional authority were released by these courts.”
????
I don’t watch Fox anymore - so I have no idea who Janine is - but it does not surprise me about Hayes. Like all of the Fox folks, he’s eaten up with inside the beltway culture and thinking.
Think Netflix House of Cards.
Faux is now run by the Leftist acvitist son of Rupert Murdoch.
Pirro has received The Word.
That, and she still wants to get invites to all the parties.
Her show may be pre-recorded on Thursday or Friday AM before the decision was released. I think most of Fox’s weekend opinion shows are recorded on Thursdays or Fridays.
Employment concerns. They are on TV ergo that trumps morality. Gotta stay on TV afterall. Or keep the book deals going. Or the radio sponsors on board.
But soon that inch will be up.
Fox, like the GOP, has played us like a fiddle.
Let’s see what Rush does today.
And Levin.
And Beck.
And Hannity.
If it is more of this “it’s the law of the land, tsk, tsk,” B-S, then it is proof that they are all minders to keep us on the farm and not to rock the boat.
I think that the establishment elite members (Fox hosts included) that DON'T support gay 'marriage' are a tiny minority within that subset. A very tiny minority.
Lets see if Mark found his missing inch.
Of all the Fox News people, the one most likely to speak against the court decision is Hannity.
I was also really surprised by Charles Krauthammer. He did speak forcefully against the decision, and while Steve Hayes said he personally supports homosexual marriage, he thought they shredded the constitution and should have left the decision to public opinion over time.
I watched Krauthammer when Hayes was speaking, and I think I detected disagreement in Krauthammer. I wonder if his psychiatric training came when homosexuality was still considered a mental illness? Also, I wondered if he is a more orthodox Jew than I realized?
See #11. Should have pinged you.
What did Krauthammer say about the Robert’s Obama Care decision? He really really praised the “not a tax” decision it 3 years ago.
Janine Pirro?
Oh....I’d tap that!
(IOW, her fame is directly related to her “body image”, not her legal prowess...)
I heard him address the homosexuality case. I didn’t hear him on ObamaCare, but about pulling this out of thin air devoid of the constitution, he was really clear. He didn’t think it was remotely right. He cited Scalia as much as Roberts. I’ve already erased the DVR, so I can’t go back to check if he made any tie-in to the ObamaCare decision.
Sorry, dude. She’s a wrinkled old lady to me, but I’m getting social security, so maybe you have a younger eye for this than I do.
From NY, I researched JJ’s views on abortion, she seems to be a Social Liberal. It is almost as if being from NY, it is hard for her to be elsewhere.
Hence, when she has criticized the Pope and probably rightfully so in the past on some things, she herself does not seem to be a social conservative. I did see her show as well.
Maybe she is indeed, chicken to state her real views on such issues.
The Obama Care decision would have been the day before anyway.....that’s what I’d like to see.
And Robert’s voting the right way on marriage is just cynical bullshit - pardon my French. He did that because he knew it was already “baked in the cake” to pass.
BTW, that’s not a bad analogy, is it? (the cake)
FoxNews has been pro-homosex for years, albeit in often subtle little ways. Like downplaying or ignoring certain stories in which the homo-fascists are on the rampage, or how they’ll phrase things on the crawl at the bottom of the screen (like when a rogue Fed judge throws out some state’s marriage law, it will be written as “so-and-so state now accepts gay marriage”... making it sound like it was some voluntarily change by the state’s citizens).
My prediction is that they are going to avoid this topic like the plague from here on out, being the corrupt mouthpieces for the GOP-Establishment that they are. It will be endless campfire ‘spook stories’ about scary ol’ Hillary, endless Karl Rove tut-tutting, and endless scenes of Dana Perino bringing out some birthday or valentine card she’s gotten from the Bushes while everybody oooh’s and aaah’s as she reads it.
Judge Jeannine apparently has had Cosmetic Surgery but otherwise, she is hardly wrinkled and wore an outfit complimentary to her upper body. I’d not be complaining.
