Donald Trump Will Allow Illegal Immigrants To Stay In U.S. On One Condition

Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, will allow illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. on one condition — that they stay “productive.” The billionaire real estate mogul says that if he’s elected president, he’ll allow undocumented workers stay in America if they’re productive and not abusing the system by not contributing to it. Otherwise, he’d have them deported.

Is there a candidate or potential candidate who agrees with you on this??

A lot of Americans agree with me on this. Legion. One of these dumb ass pols will figure it out eventually.

For all of his bravado Trump speaks in simple street terms. Not Wall street. Day to day conversation type.

I am willing to give him the opportunity to compete, and if he wins the nomination he will have our two votes.

Would love to see him debate Hillary, and disappointed that he will not get the chance to do the same with Obama...

Do you really think every lawn mowing job has been “stolen” from an American?

Absolutely.

Do you think every hotel maid job has been stolen from Americans?

Absolutely.

Do you really think every janitorial job has been stolen from an American? Or vegetable picking?

Absolutely

Do you want any of these jobs?

No

Do you know anyone who does?

Yes

Do you see the unemployed hipsters flashing their EBT cards buying lobster at Whole Foods while surfing the web at Starbucks doing these jobs?

No

How about the looters in Ferguson?

No

Or the musician on welfare who does some music gigs cash on the side?

No

My only point is this: your example is just way way way too simple to really describe what is a complex problem.

I gave no example. I made a statement that Trump believes illegals that have jobs in the US should be able to stay.

And yes, it’s a damned problem.

Agreed

As someone who has been around construction, lawn care, and hotel management his whole life, I can tell you Americans did in fact do these jobs. Did lawns not get cut before 1980? Did drywall not get hung? Did hotels not get cleaned? Thinking only illegals can and will do these jobs is the problem.

Good summary.

Until we see all the people who want the jobs you mentioned lined up clamoring for them rather than taking the “ gravy train” scam the system approach I’ll keep an open mind about what has been “ stolen”

Oh, what you say is true for 1980. Idiot. That’s got nothing to do with today.

Committing a crime is OK as long as it pays.

No thanks. I’ll stick with enforcing the law.

Fixed.

Agree. O et al have been saying that to us for years now, aided by the MSM covering for them when anyone objects.

I see a contradiction here as well and will point it out:
“Don’t break our immigration laws by sneaking into our country ... unless you plan to be productive.”

`Scarface’ (Al Pacino) was “productive”. This is just the old/current policy restated.
This is why Europe imported millions of workers: to replace the children they weren’t having, and these `workers’ wound up padding the welfare rolls once they figured out they could game the system. (Many with more than one wife and lots of troublesome kids/yutes.)

He is a patriot as far as I can tell. Does he know anything about the constitution he is proposing to swear to uphold? No telling. Does he have any consistent concern for the rule of law and tge constitution?

No telling.

Does he back up what he says he’ll do, as a matter of principal, in all matters not just the ones where the opponents cave? Perhaps

Dunno

Having said that, as long as Trump is flipping-off Uniparty I’m standing in his corner serving as his cut-man/holding his coat.

There is a price point for every single job in the entire world.

IN theory, yes - but it's not nearly as simple as you say it is. And price is only a part of the employment picture. The biggest perverter of your theory now is the lifestyle you can live by not working. That has artificially raised the "price" of certain skills to more than they're worth to the consumer. Never forget, a consumer has to pay for every job ultimately.

The other issue is the willingness to stay with a mundane job for a long time. This is not in the American psyche to do so. Some of that is good by the way. Some of it is laziness. That is bad.

In your roofing example - 8 is ridiculous. If you think the hispanic population - legal OR illegal - is working for 8, you don't know the market. Maybe in a tiny town, but not very often. And the consumer will not pay the 60. The problem is that in roofing, say the skill is worth 17-20.....but you can live a 25/hour lifestyle on the goobermint dole. There IS no workable price point in this scenario...and this is the conundrum we are in, which is why this will never get solved without also addressing our welfare and educational issues.

You and I agree on almost all of this...philosophically. We just have different perceptions of the reality on the ground. By the way, this reality drove me out of this business for the most part. I don't like it. But I have put my money where my mouth is. I live the fall out.

I have no patience for stupidity. To say that because it’s true in 1980 means it’s true today is just beneath adult conversation.

Hell, marriage changed in a day. Don’t tell me the entire employment situation hasn’t changed since 1980. My intelligence was insulted by the sheer idiocy of the idea.

I think you’ll latch on to whatever liberal idea there is by whatever liberal candidate there is in order to keep conservatives from coming together behind an actual conservative.

And I think you’d be better served on DU.

YES! I do think there is an american for every job. It may require more money to get them to take the job (gotta pay better than welfare ya know) but there are still Americans out there that think no job is beneath them and any job is better than nothing.

>>> Do you want any of these jobs? <<<

In college I worked for a landscaper. The man that owned the business (my boss) lived in an nice middle class community and supported a family. He never hired illegal immigrants.
